About international schools in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Dubai’s international schools form a large, highly regulated private sector that commonly offers British, American, International Baccalaureate (IB) and Indian (CBSE/ICSE) pathways alongside a small number of other national curricula, with choices clustered by curriculum and location across the city. English is the predominant language of instruction, but schools must deliver Arabic (and Islamic Education for Muslim students) to meet KHDA and UAE Ministry requirements, and many schools also offer French, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu or Mandarin as additional languages. Annual fees vary widely - from under AED 10,000 at lower-cost schools to well over AED 100,000 at premium international campuses - and are governed by KHDA’s annual fee framework and inspection-linked expectations. Most families target the main intake in August/September (with some Indian-curriculum schools following an April intake), and should plan to assemble passports, previous school records, immunisation documentation and residence/visa paperwork well before application.
