Salman Farsi began as the Dubai Iranian Elementary School in 1336 AH, the first Iranian school in the UAE, under the Southern Ports Culture Department (Bushehr). The middle and high school sections were added over the following decades, with gradual separation by gender and reorganization of campuses; by the 74-75 academic year, the elementary, Bu Ali Middle School and Shaheed Mohammad Baqir Sadr High School were moved to a new Salman Farsi Complex in Al Qusais under a single administration. The complex was founded on land donated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with an initial construction cost of about 50 million dirhams, on a site of 36,000 square meters; Phase I was completed in eight months and inaugurated on 19 July 1974, with Phase II opening in 1388 AH. The Salman Farsi Complex now operates across three cycles—elementary, middle, and high school—in curricula including the sciences, humanities, and vocational studies, and offers facilities such as 26 classrooms, a 4500-book library, a multipurpose hall, laboratories, computer labs, and several sports fields.

Admissions
1. Enrollment for the 2022-23 academic year is announced. Registration must be completed on time to start classes according to the schedule; if not registered on time, a fine is imposed. 2. Documents required for enrolling a new student (first grade and other grades for 2022-23):
- Age requirement for first grade: born on or before 31/12/2015.
- Entrance test card for first grade and a vaccine card for all grades.
- Copy and original ID cards, copies of parents' and student's national IDs, copy of residence passport, 6 photos (3 x 4), copy of the vaccination card with the guardian's signature on the back, copies of medical records in case of illness and use of medicine.
- For students transferring from Iran, translation of the last diploma approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran and the UAE Embassy in Tehran.
- After October, transfer students must have a translation of their employment certificate or transcript for the first year, approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran and the UAE Embassy in Tehran.
