Parent Experience

History

Emirates National Schools were formed by Presidential Decree and are owned by the Presidential Court. The Dubai Campus is part of the Emirates National Schools network. The Mohammed Bin Zayed City campus was established in 2002 and is the oldest ENS campus. Since 2002, ENS has grown to six campuses, including Abu Dhabi campuses (Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Al Ain City, and Abu Dhabi City) and campuses serving Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai.

Community

Assemblies are a vital part of the school day and promote a strong sense of community; assemblies begin with a recitation from the Qur'an and the National Anthem, and parents may be invited to attend special assemblies. The school encourages parental involvement through volunteering, with opportunities coordinated through the campus leadership. A Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) fosters a strong community at each ENS campus and works to plan student activities and address common issues. The PTA is complemented by a Parent Advisory Council that provides strategic feedback to the school leadership, with council members drawn from the PTAs of the campuses.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) at each ENS campus is a vibrant body dedicated to fostering a strong community partnership. The PTA helps solve common problems, plans student activities, and builds a supportive school environment. All parents are encouraged to participate, and meetings are generally held monthly. The Parent Advisory Council works directly with school leadership to provide strategic feedback and recommendations, with council members drawn from the PTAs of the campuses. Formal Parent-Teacher Conferences are held three times per school year, following term grade reports.
