Sharjah American International School (Sharjah campus) is an international school located at Al Ramaqia, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, offering an American curriculum from Kindergarten through Grade 12 (ages 4–18). The school models its programme on recognised American standards (including California frameworks, the Common Core State Standards for English and mathematics and NGSS for science) and uses English as the language of instruction. Arabic is taught for both native and non‑native speakers and Islamic Education is provided for Muslim students; the curriculum also includes UAE Social Studies, moral education and a range of specialist subjects such as art, physical education, information technology and computer science. At secondary level students choose from a variety of electives, and Grades 10–12 participate in an e‑learning programme with school‑issued laptops and networked Internet access. The school states it prepares students for external assessments including the SAT, AP examinations and TOEFL and offers extracurricular activities such as inter‑school sport, drama, community service and environmental projects.
