About international schools in Amman, Jordan
Amman’s international-school sector is a mix of long-established IB and British-curriculum schools, American-programme schools, a French-curriculum option and a number of bilingual or dual-track schools that also offer the Jordanian (Tawjīhī) pathway, so families will commonly find both wholly international and hybrid models. English is the primary language of instruction at most international schools, while Arabic is taught across the timetable and some schools operate genuinely bilingual Arabic - English programmes. Tuition sits across a wide band - many schools charge several thousand Jordanian dinars a year, with more established international campuses toward the higher end of that range, and additional billed items (registration, transport, exam and activity fees, and sometimes a capital or registration levy) are common. The academic year follows a Northern-Hemisphere rhythm (typically late August/September to late June) and admissions are busiest ahead of the September intake, so relocating families should begin enquiries and document attestation several months before arrival.
