About international schools in Indonesia
British-curriculum international schools in Indonesia typically teach in English and adapt the English National Curriculum for an international setting, often leading to Cambridge IGCSEs and A-levels or, at some schools, a later transition to IB programmes. You will usually find campuses concentrated in major urban centres such as Jakarta, Bali and Bandung, where schools run full primary and secondary pathways for ages roughly 3 - 18 and commonly teach Bahasa Indonesia (and often Mandarin or other modern languages) alongside English. Fees vary a great deal by city, campus size and facilities, but in Jakarta annual tuition commonly runs from mid-range bands into premium tiers and many schools add capital levies and activity costs on top of base fees. Admissions follow the familiar British entry points (foundation/reception, Year 7 and pre-IGCSE/Year 10 are the most common), popular year groups can have waiting lists, and academic calendars may use either an August - June or a July - June shape so check dates and age cut-offs with each school.
