- The first fee payment is due on the first day of the term in which the child starts. If a child starts mid-term, a full term's fees are due in advance or on the day the child starts.
- All school fees are to be settled via Direct Debit unless alternative arrangements have been expressly agreed with the School. Fees are reviewed annually and may be increased with advance notice.
- For sponsored students, fees after the first year are payable before the start of each term; the first year must be paid in full in advance.

Boarding
- Eaton Square Prep School operates as a day school; boarding is not provided.

Other costs and optional charges
- Clubs and after-school activities that run outside normal school hours are charged separately and are not included in the standard termly tuition. Wraparound care (3:30pm–6:00pm) is offered in partnership with an external provider and is charged in addition to tuition.
- Individual music tuition is charged separately (per-term or per-lesson billing applies) and is not included in the termly tuition. Residential school trips and some specialist activities are also billed separately.

- If a place is cancelled after acceptance without the correct notice as required by the School's Terms and Conditions, fees in lieu (typically a term's fees) may be charged. Sponsored-student rules reflect similar notice and refund conditions and the deposit may be forfeited if a place is not taken up.

Fee payment options and related charges

Sponsored students have additional payment requirements (first year's fees in advance and a CAS administration fee where applicable).

Notes on inclusions and exclusions
- Termly tuition figures cover standard school-day provision (including lunch and most in-day activities) but exclude charges for extracurricular clubs outside normal hours, individual music tuition, residential trips, some specialist services and some EAL or specialist support where a charge is specified. Special arrangements (fee remission, bespoke billing or international sponsorship conditions) are governed by the School's Terms and Conditions and separate sponsored-student schedules.
Academics

Eaton Square Prep School teaches EYFS (Early years foundation stage), British Curriculum for students aged 2 to 11.

Curriculum

The curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework and the National Curriculum Key Stages 1 and 2. It meets these national standards and aims to exceed them, preparing pupils for senior school and beyond. Traditional teaching is blended with innovative approaches, with a STEAM Centre that ignites creativity and a commitment to sustainability enriching the curriculum. Public speaking and presentation skills are emphasised across all learning. AI integration supports learning, with 1:1 devices for Years 4–6 and a bank of iPads for pupil use, alongside programmable robots and Merge Cubes that promote cross-curricular exploration.

Exam Results

The most recent Year 6 cohort secured 81 offers and 12 scholarships at 11+.
Wellbeing

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

PSHE gives pupils the knowledge, skills and understanding to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active British citizens. The curriculum follows three core themes: relationships, health and wellbeing, living in the wider world. It aims to develop responsibility and to maximise pupils' abilities, including self-knowledge, self-esteem and self-confidence. Pupils learn about consent, develop positive relationships, and gain understanding of British values and how to participate responsibly in society. PSHE lessons are 30 minutes per week for Years 1–6, taught by the same teacher or the Head of PSHE, in a safe space for discussion, with pupil voice and safeguarding support integrated into the learning environment.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

There is a SEND Policy detailing procedures for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disability. The school provides SEND support and inclusion guidance through a dedicated SENDCo who builds personalised support plans. Planning and teaching consider SEND alongside EAL to ensure access to learning for all pupils. The school's inclusion framework references SEND provisions as part of its overall policy suite. The school maintains a SEND policy accessible to parents via the policy information section.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Pupils for whom English is not their first language are supported through English as an Additional Language (EAL) provision. They will be integrated into age-appropriate classes with access to the whole curriculum. In lessons, pupils may have allocated ‘buddies' to support language development and be placed with fluent English speakers who provide language models. Specialist EAL support is available when required, at additional cost. The school encourages use of home languages alongside English to support learning, and uses assessments to gauge the level of English and the needed support.

Mental Wellbeing

Mental health is addressed as part of health and wellbeing within the PSHE programme. The curriculum covers mental health and developing personal coping strategies, including breathing exercises. There is an emphasis on resilience, positive coping and wellbeing through PSHE content and school practice. The school supports pupil wellbeing through a structured PSHE programme and safeguarding structures that help pupils manage worries and seek support when needed.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is the school's top priority, with a whole-school commitment to protecting pupils from harm. The safeguarding policy aligns with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2024 and Westminster's Local Safeguarding Children Partnership requirements. All staff have a duty to maximise welfare and safety and to take immediate action to protect pupils. The policy applies to all pupils across the school and is available on the school policies page or on request. The school's safeguarding arrangements are supported by strong policy supervision and regular safeguarding reviews, and ISI inspection confirms safeguarding arrangements as effective.
Parent Experience

Community

The school provides Pastoral Care and Wellbeing, safeguarding, and a wide range of clubs and wraparound care. It runs Square Roots Stay and Play sessions for the youngest children and offers School Trips as part of its community experiences. Sustainability is integrated into School Life, and international families are supported through the International Families section and English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Languages

Language Provision

At Eaton Square Prep School, we welcome families from all language backgrounds. Our team works with pupils who speak another language at home to help them gain confidence and competency in spoken and written English. We assess pupils' language level on entry and tailor provisions to each child's needs. Targeted EAL Teaching (one-to-one or small group lessons focusing on speaking, listening, literacy and grammar) and In-Class Support help pupils access the curriculum with vocabulary demands; booster groups bolster skills such as spelling or comprehension and assess language proficiency to welcome newly arrived students.
Admissions

Admissions

1. Enquire. Contact the admissions team via the Contact Us Form to express interest. The team is experienced in supporting international applicants and ensures the process is clear, thoughtful, and welcoming from the start. To help understand the child's learning journey, families submit the most recent school report with an English translation if needed. Interviews and assessments can be carried out online if relocation makes on-site visits difficult. 2. Visit Us. Attend an Open Morning or an Individual Tour to meet the team, explore facilities, and see classrooms in action. You will have the chance to ask questions about the curriculum, pastoral care, and admissions. Open Mornings are scheduled dates and private tours can be arranged; booking in advance is recommended. 3. Register. To apply, complete the Registration Form. 4. Assessment. For Pre-Nursery and Nursery, no assessment is required and places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. External Nursery entrants undergo a play-based assessment with a report or reference from the current nursery, and a Headmistress meeting may be arranged. Reception entry prioritises Nursery pupils attending the school's nurseries; external nurseries have informal assessments. For Year 1 and above, Occasional Places are allocated based on the latest school report, a trial day, an interview with the Headmistress, a CAT4 assessment for entry to Year 3 and above, and an English as an Additional Language assessment if applicable; online interviews/assessments are available if needed. 5. Offer. After the assessment, the outcome is communicated; if successful, an offer of a place is made. 6. Acceptance. To secure the place, complete the Acceptance Form and pay the deposit per the offer terms.
