About international schools in Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Tashkent’s international schools are a mixed sector that commonly offers International Baccalaureate programmes, British pathways (IGCSE/A-level) and a small number of American or Canadian-style options, alongside bilingual Uzbek/Russian provision at some campuses. Fees vary a lot by provider and age, with published ranges across the city from roughly US$4,000 a year at lower-cost international options up to around US$25,000 - 28,000 a year at the most expensive private international schools, plus separate charges for registration, transport, meals and external exam fees. The academic year normally follows a Northern-hemisphere calendar with the main intake in late summer, and admissions typically require previous school records, immunisation documents, entrance testing or interviews and residency/visa paperwork. Relocating families should check each school’s accreditation and chosen exam pathway (IB, Cambridge IGCSE/A-levels, national programmes), and plan for English-language support if your child is not already fluent in English.
