International Schools in Côte d'Azur, France

The Côte d’Azur’s international schools sit alongside a strong network of French state ‘sections internationales’, so families can choose between fee-paying private schools that teach primarily in English or bilingually and free public schools that offer an international section inside the French national system. Curricula on the coast commonly include the International Baccalaureate (PYP/MYP/DP), the English National Curriculum through British-style schools, bilingual/francophone schools and Montessori settings, while public colleges and lycées run international sections that feed into the French baccalauréat (including the Baccalauréat Français International). Published tuition for private international schools on the Riviera in the 2026 - 27 schedules ranges broadly from around €10,000 a year at smaller bilingual or Montessori schools to about €26,000 a year at full-fee international campuses, while state international sections charge only modest parent-association or registration fees. Admission for private schools centres on a September intake (many operate rolling admissions too and use assessments, interviews and deposits), whereas public sections follow a fixed winter application and spring testing calendar set by the Académie de Nice, so families planning a move should check deadlines, transport options and language support well before arrival.
