Canadian Curriculum, Advanced Placement (AP)
Albert College is a private, co-educational day and boarding school in Belleville. The school offers a Canadian curriculum with Advanced Placement courses, supporting the Ontario Diploma pathway (30 credits with 17 compulsory, 13 optional from 2024 onward), OSSLT, and 40 hours of community involvement, guided by an Annual Educational Plan for post-secondary choices. The Junior School provides daily French instruction from Junior Kindergarten, while the Middle and Senior Schools build on inquiry-based learning in English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, French, Instrumental Music, Visual Arts, and Design/Technology, with six learning skills: Responsibility, Organization, Independent Work, Collaboration, Initiative, and Self-Regulation. The Five A's—Academics, Arts, Athletics, Active Citizenship, and Adventure—shape curricular and co-curricular life. Distinctive programs include AP English Language, AP World History, AP Computer Science A, Model United Nations, and a Student Art Exhibit. On-campus facilities include three buildings, boarding houses, chapels, a dining hall, libraries, Resource and Wellness Centres, and amenities.
