Chittagong’s international schools form a relatively small, city-centred group that mostly serve families seeking English-medium pathways rather than the national Bengali-medium system; many follow the British Cambridge (IGCSE/A-Level) route while a smaller number offer IB or American-style programmes. Instruction is normally in English while Bangla is taught as a core language subject and some schools also provide Arabic or other additional language lessons. Annual tuition levels in Bangladesh vary widely - from tens of thousands of taka at lower-fee local international or English-medium schools up to several hundred thousand taka a year at higher-fee institutions - and Chittagong schools are often priced below the highest bands seen in Dhaka. Admissions are set by each school but most families should plan around a main mid-year session (commonly June - August) with some schools offering January or rolling intakes; allow extra lead time for entrance testing, record transfers and external exam/centre registration.
