Yokohama International School (YIS) opened on 27 October 1924 and is located at 2-100-1 Kominato-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama. Students learn through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) in the Early Learning Center and Elementary School and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) in Grades 6–8.
