Opening in August 2027 with its founding cohort from Early Years to Year 4, the school builds upon the heritage of Epsom College UK and forms part of Epsom’s global network across the UK, Malaysia and Japan. From the Early Years Foundation Stage through Primary School, Epsom College Tokyo will offer a broad UK-based curriculum combining strong academic foundations with creativity, play and character development. The school has a day boarding model. The day boarding experience provides families with the structure, flexibility, and pastoral support of a British independent school experience within a modern Tokyo context. All fees are inclusive of 10% consumption tax. Epsom has three terms per academic year, running from August to June.

Epsom College Tokyo will offer a broad UK-based curriculum that combines strong academic foundations with creativity, play and character development.

From the Early Years Foundation Stage through Primary School, pupils will build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while developing critical thinking, creativity, confidence and curiosity.

Age-appropriate AI integration, digital literacy and responsible technology use will be introduced from the early years, helping pupils develop the skills and judgement needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Academic learning is complemented by a strong emphasis on pastoral care and personal development, supporting pupils to become resilient, confident and curious learners.
Wellbeing

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school has pastoral care embedded in every aspect of school life. Wellbeing and learning are interconnected, supported by strong relationships, structured routines, and enhanced PSHE. The Day Boarding Experience balances the extended school day with learning, enrichment, movement, and rest to foster belonging, confidence, and independence. Parent Experience

History

Epsom College has enjoyed unbroken Royal patronage since 1855, Queen Victoria being the first Patron and the reigning monarch continuing in that role. The Royal Medical Foundation is based at the College and continues to play an active part in school life. The College Archives hold photographs, artefacts and ephemera from Epsom's past, preserving heritage and celebrating the College's tradition of academic excellence, character development and global citizenship. The origins of Epsom College trace to Dr John Propert, who provided housing, clothing and education to orphans of medical families, establishing The Royal Medical Benevolent College. Epsom College Malaysia opened its doors in September 2014, and Educ8 Group announced on November 5, 2025 the establishment of Epsom College Tokyo Co., Ltd, with Epsom College Tokyo planned to open in fall 2027 in Kanda.
