Island Pacific School (IPS) is a non-profit independent middle school on Bowen Island, British Columbia, serving Grades 6–9 with a maximum of 72 students. The program follows the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) while delivering the New BC Curriculum to prepare graduates for Grades 10–12 within the BC Graduation Program. English Language & Literature and French Language Acquisition are taught within a full IB/MYP subject array. IPS blends the Equip and Inspire curricula to emphasize inquiry, critical thinking, and character development. The Grade 9 Masterworks Program requires in-depth research, a formal oral presentation, and reflection on external mentors' feedback. IPS emphasizes expeditions and inquiry-based learning, including two extended expeditions annually (fall hiking and spring kayaking). The school fields Ultimate Frisbee teams and tournaments, and features a House System with four houses—Cassiopeia, Andromeda, Orion, and Pleiades—for cross‑grade activities. IPS is CAIS-accredited since 2009 and is a member of ISABC.
