History
The International French School of Kyiv was founded in 2005 as a private school. Since September 2009, it has been housed in spacious, renovated premises in Pushcha-Voditsa, a Kyiv suburb. In May 2012, Ukrainian authorities renewed the license for 10 years to cover preschool, elementary, middle and high school, as well as extracurricular education; in July 2012 UNESCO named EFI a member of the UNESCO Associated Schools Network. In 2013 the school director, Madame Henry, obtained the highest teaching qualification category in Ukraine, and EFI earned the Label FrancEducation, which was renewed in 2016. AEFE recognitions followed: in June 2020 the elementary school was homologated; on September 1, 2022 EFI received AEFE's Label EFE3D niveau 2 approfondissement; in February 2024 EFI formed a new educational partnership with Kyiv's Small Academy of Sciences.
