Billing schedule and payment terms

Discounts, scholarships and support
- Sibling discount: where three or more children from the same family are enrolled under the same payer, reductions apply: a 30% reduction for the third child (applies to the youngest child) and a 50% reduction for the fourth and subsequent children (applies to the youngest child). The discount is applied once per family and distributed equally among legal guardians when applicable.
- Consular or other scholarships may cover all or part of registration, tuition, transport and maintenance; when an official French consular scholarship (when applicable) is notified to the school, the school applies the scholarship to invoices and may reimburse registration fees when the scholarship notification is received.

Refund and cancellation rules
- Registration and re‑registration fees are not refundable in general; an exception exists where a French consular scholarship is awarded and the school refunds registration fees upon receipt of the official scholarship notification.
- When a pupil arrives or leaves during the academic year, tuition, half‑board and transport charges are calculated on a monthly basis (generally each month started is due). For individual international mobility not managed by the school, families must continue to pay 50% of the tuition to guarantee the pupils place during the absence. Non‑payment before the end of the term may lead to temporary exclusion.

Curriculum
Multilingualism: Our students learn in French, English, and Spanish from age 2, with native or bilingual teachers for each language. Our educational project targets a C1 level in all three languages. From ages 2 to 18, students remain at the school from Très Petite Section to Terminale. It is a multicultural environment with 70% of students Spanish and others from France, the United Kingdom, Algeria, Russia, and the United States. The education system is supported and approved by the education ministries of France and Spain, enabling access to higher education in Spain, France, and beyond. We belong to the Mission Laïque Française and AEFE, and promote an active, learner-centered pedagogy with well-equipped classrooms.

Exam Results
More than 100 students graduate each year, and the school serves about 1,500 students from kindergarten through the final year of lycée. It is multicultural with more than 25 nationalities and multilingual. It reports a 100% pass rate on Selectividad and the Baccalauréat. Eighty-one percent of students obtain places at the world's leading universities.

Parent Experience

History
The Lycée Français International d'Alicante opened its doors in 1962 in a modest building on Calle San Vicente in central Alicante. Five years later, the iconic building on Avenida de la Albufereta was completed and housed thousands of students there until 2005. In 2005, the Lycée moved to El Campello, where a campus on more than 20 hectares accommodates over 1,300 students aged 3 to 18 each year. The new campus was renamed LFIA Pierre Deschamps in honor of the founder of the Mission laïque française and includes a semi-Olympic indoor pool, a sports center, basketball courts, an athletics track, a football field, a media center and a library, cafeterias, an assembly hall, multipurpose rooms, an infirmary, and laboratories for science and technology.

Community
Students are central at LFIA Alicante. Learners are positioned as protagonists of their own learning, and the school provides resources for every stage of their education to ensure an engaging and meaningful experience. In secondary and the baccalaureate, students may represent their peers in consultative bodies such as the School Council and the Establishment Council to identify and address daily difficulties. The CVL (Conseil pour la Vie Lycéenne) is a forum for dialogue between students and the educational community, where issues related to life at the center are discussed and proposals are presented to the center council. Topics include study organization and the school calendar, center projects and internal rules, canteen issues, organization of language exchanges and cultural trips, orientation information, health, hygiene and safety, and the organization of sports, cultural, and extracurricular activities. Delegates: each level elects two main delegates and two substitutes; delegates serve as the voice of the students to teachers and staff and help maintain class cohesion. The Student Delegates Council meets once a year, and at the first meeting two representatives to the Center Council are elected. Students are also represented in other councils and commissions. NUMAD: since 2012, LFIA participates in NUMAD (Nations Unies Madrid), a three‑day Model United Nations held in Madrid, with roles including delegates, ambassadors, secretary‑general, commission presidents, secretaries, and journalists. CSLFIA: The LFIA Solidarity Club (CSLFIA) was founded in October 2018 by students Laura Filíu Pastor and Alberto Bianchi Santonja to assist the community and raise awareness of global issues through humanitarian and environmental projects. The club is open to all students from Sixth Form to the end of secondary, as well as teachers, and is supported by the CPE, school leadership, and CDI librarians. Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The Lycée has two parent associations: APA (Association des Parents d'Élèves) and ALI (Association Liste Indépendante). They work for the well‑being of students in all areas and participate actively in school life through various bodies, including school and establishment councils and class councils, and they assist families in preparing scholarship applications (French) and the solidarity fund (Spanish). They are involved in Madrid scholarship commissions to advocate for parents and contribute to events such as the Christmas party (Primary), Carnival, the cohabitation festival, and other activities requiring parent involvement. The boards of the parent associations are composed of volunteer parents, and all parents are welcome to participate. Election results for the 2025‑2026 school year are published.
