Annual tuition fees by school level (total per school year and standard billing periods) - Maternelle (pre‑school): EUR 6,330 per year. Standard billing: divided into ten periods. - Collège (6ème to 3ème): EUR 7,110 per year. Standard billing: divided into ten periods. - Lycée (2nde to Terminale): EUR 7,640 per year. Standard billing: divided into ten periods.
Note on installment amounts: the school divides the annual tuition into ten payment periods (typically September to June). For each level, the monthly instalment (indicative) equals the annual fee divided by 10. The centre will invoice annex services (canteen, guardería, transport, extracurricular providers) when those services are provided and add them to the corresponding monthly debit.
School meals and catering - Half‑board (five days/week): EUR 1,530 per year. - Half‑board (four days/week): EUR 1,320 per year. - Unit lunch ticket (single meal): EUR 10 per ticket. - Locker (casier): EUR 30 (one‑off). Locker costs are charged in the first semester.
Supervision and after‑school care (garderie) and related services - Morning care (elementary 07:30–08:00; maternelle 07:30–08:20): EUR 160 per year. - Afternoon care 15:30–17:00: EUR 380 per year. - Afternoon care 17:00–18:00: EUR 380 per year. - One day/week option (15:30–17:00): EUR 190 per year. - One day/week option (17:00–18:00): EUR 190 per year. - Exceptional / occasional guardería session: EUR 10 per session.
Other recurring and one‑off fees - External supervised student (Collège–Lycée) option (externe surveillé): EUR 300 per year. - Costs for school trips (including overnight stays) are charged to families and invoiced according to the trip conditions. - Textbooks and school materials: families are responsible for textbooks; materials loaned by the school library (CDI/BCD) not returned are charged at the real cost.
Billing schedule and payment terms - Tuition and ancillary fees are annual charges due from the first day of the school year; by default the school divides payment into ten periods for practical purposes (normally September to June). Families who join or leave during the school year must pay for the month of entry or departure in full; annex fees are billed when the service is provided. - Indicative monthly debit dates: between day 1 and day 10 of each month from September to June. - Direct debit (bank domiciliation) is the required payment method; families must provide bank details. If a direct debit is rejected, the school sends an electronic non‑payment notice and an administrative charge of EUR 30 is applied; the debt must then be paid by credit card or bank transfer by the indicated date. The school may permit a single annual payment by bank transfer upon written request and acceptance. Failure to pay may lead to amicable recovery, legal proceedings, and temporary exclusion of the pupil.
Discounts, scholarships and support - Sibling discount: where three or more children from the same family are enrolled under the same payer, reductions apply: a 30% reduction for the third child (applies to the youngest child) and a 50% reduction for the fourth and subsequent children (applies to the youngest child). The discount is applied once per family and distributed equally among legal guardians when applicable. - Consular or other scholarships may cover all or part of registration, tuition, transport and maintenance; when an official French consular scholarship (when applicable) is notified to the school, the school applies the scholarship to invoices and may reimburse registration fees when the scholarship notification is received.
Refund and cancellation rules - Registration and re‑registration fees are not refundable in general; an exception exists where a French consular scholarship is awarded and the school refunds registration fees upon receipt of the official scholarship notification. - When a pupil arrives or leaves during the academic year, tuition, half‑board and transport charges are calculated on a monthly basis (generally each month started is due). For individual international mobility not managed by the school, families must continue to pay 50% of the tuition to guarantee the pupils place during the absence. Non‑payment before the end of the term may lead to temporary exclusion.
Boarding (internat) - Boarding is not offered by the Lycée français international d'Alicante; boarding fees are not applicable.
Accepted payment methods and administrative charges - Primary method: bank direct debit (mandatory). Alternative methods if direct debit is refused or by prior arrangement: credit card payment or bank transfer. A rejected direct debit triggers an administrative charge of EUR 30. Annual single payment by bank transfer may be allowed on request and after explicit acceptance by the school.
Administrative and practical notes related to fees - Locker charges are collected in the first semester. School trips and extracurricular activities organised by third‑party providers are invoiced separately by the provider or by the school and billed when provided. Materials lent by the library not returned are billed at real cost. The school may apply sanctions or collection procedures for unpaid invoices.
Fee details
Application fees
- Enrollment (one-off, first year only): EUR 630.
One-off / annual ancillary charges
- General expenses (covers psychopedagogical services, platforms, school insurance, etc.): 2 × EUR 150 per course (two payments of EUR 150, total EUR 300 per academic year).
Recurring monthly fees (published amounts by year group)
- Infant education: EUR 404 per month. - Primary education: EUR 442 per month. - Secondary (1st, 2nd and 3rd): EUR 496 per month. - Secondary (4th): EUR 516 per month. - Bachillerato (1st year): EUR 565 per month. - Bachillerato (2nd year): EUR 600 per month.
Canteen and transport (published monthly charges)
- Canteen (school lunch): EUR 142 per month. - School transport: EUR 163 per month.
Uniform and other discretionary costs
- Uniform items are charged individually; sample published prices include: - Baby uniform pieces: approx. EUR 26.50 – EUR 35.70. - Full tracksuit: approx. EUR 52.20 – EUR 57.50. - Reversible school parka: approx. EUR 59.80 – EUR 66.70. - Shoes: approx. EUR 39.70 – EUR 57.50. - Individual polo/T‑shirts and socks are listed at lower single‑item prices.
Billing schedule and payment terms (published information and calculated interpretation)
- The school publishes all tuition and service amounts as monthly figures and lists general expenses as “2 × EUR 150 / course,” indicating the general expenses are charged in two instalments during the academic year. The fees page does not publish explicit billing dates, the number of monthly instalments, formal due dates, or details on late‑payment penalties.
- Calculated (inference): because tuition is shown as a monthly amount and the general expenses are shown as two instalments, the following annual and per‑term totals are arithmetic calculations based on the published monthly figures. These calculated totals are presented for convenience and are not stated as published school billing items.
- Assumption for these calculations: academic billing = 10 monthly tuition payments per academic year; two equal terms per year (each term = 5 months). (This is a calculation derived from the monthly prices and the school's two general‑expense instalments; exact instalment counts and term definitions are not published.)
- Infant education: Annual (10 months) = EUR 4,040; Per term (5 months) = EUR 2,020. - Primary education: Annual (10 months) = EUR 4,420; Per term = EUR 2,210. - Secondary (1º–3º): Annual = EUR 4,960; Per term = EUR 2,480. - Secondary (4º): Annual = EUR 5,160; Per term = EUR 2,580. - Bachillerato 1º: Annual = EUR 5,650; Per term = EUR 2,825. - Bachillerato 2º: Annual = EUR 6,000; Per term = EUR 3,000. - Canteen: Annual = EUR 1,420; Per term = EUR 710. - Transport: Annual = EUR 1,630; Per term = EUR 815. - General expenses: EUR 300 per academic year, charged as two payments of EUR 150 (EUR 150 per term under a two‑term split).
Boarding fees
- Boarding is not listed among the school's published services and no boarding fees are published; therefore boarding is not applicable based on the school's publicly posted fees.
Refund information
- No published refund policy or specific refund terms for enrollment, tuition, canteen, transport, or uniform purchases appears on the school's publicly posted fee pages. The published fee items list amounts and the general‑expenses instalment structure but do not provide refund rules or conditions.
Fee payment options
- The school's published fee pages list amounts and instalment structure but do not state accepted payment methods (for example, bank transfer, direct debit/standing order, or credit/debit card). No payment‑method details or billing‑account information are published on the fee pages.
Brief note on published information and missing details
- The amounts above are the school's published charges for the current academic offering: one‑off enrollment, monthly tuition by year group, monthly canteen and transport fees, and an itemised uniform price list. The school's fee page explicitly shows general expenses as “2 × EUR 150 / course,” which indicates two scheduled charges for that concept. The school's published pages do not include explicit billing calendars, exact number of tuition instalments, published payment due dates, accepted payment methods, or a published refund policy; the annual and per‑term totals above are calculated from the published monthly figures using a 10‑month academic billing assumption and a two‑term split (5 months per term) for convenience.

History
History
The Lycée Français International d'Alicante opened its doors in 1962 in a modest building on Calle San Vicente in central Alicante. Five years later, the iconic building on Avenida de la Albufereta was completed and housed thousands of students there until 2005. In 2005, the Lycée moved to El Campello, where a campus on more than 20 hectares accommodates over 1,300 students aged 3 to 18 each year. The new campus was renamed LFIA Pierre Deschamps in honor of the founder of the Mission laïque française and includes a semi-Olympic indoor pool, a sports center, basketball courts, an athletics track, a football field, a media center and a library, cafeterias, an assembly hall, multipurpose rooms, an infirmary, and laboratories for science and technology.
History
More than 40 years of experience in education. A bilingual school with its own methodology designed for Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education. A small class size is maintained to support individualized attention and accommodate different learning paces. Education is project-based and conducted without textbooks, with students as protagonists and teachers guiding through collaborative work. Families are invited to visit through guided tours to learn about the facilities and the school's approach.
Community
Community
Students are central at LFIA Alicante. Learners are positioned as protagonists of their own learning, and the school provides resources for every stage of their education to ensure an engaging and meaningful experience. In secondary and the baccalaureate, students may represent their peers in consultative bodies such as the School Council and the Establishment Council to identify and address daily difficulties. The CVL (Conseil pour la Vie Lycéenne) is a forum for dialogue between students and the educational community, where issues related to life at the center are discussed and proposals are presented to the center council. Topics include study organization and the school calendar, center projects and internal rules, canteen issues, organization of language exchanges and cultural trips, orientation information, health, hygiene and safety, and the organization of sports, cultural, and extracurricular activities. Delegates: each level elects two main delegates and two substitutes; delegates serve as the voice of the students to teachers and staff and help maintain class cohesion. The Student Delegates Council meets once a year, and at the first meeting two representatives to the Center Council are elected. Students are also represented in other councils and commissions. NUMAD: since 2012, LFIA participates in NUMAD (Nations Unies Madrid), a three‑day Model United Nations held in Madrid, with roles including delegates, ambassadors, secretary‑general, commission presidents, secretaries, and journalists. CSLFIA: The LFIA Solidarity Club (CSLFIA) was founded in October 2018 by students Laura Filíu Pastor and Alberto Bianchi Santonja to assist the community and raise awareness of global issues through humanitarian and environmental projects. The club is open to all students from Sixth Form to the end of secondary, as well as teachers, and is supported by the CPE, school leadership, and CDI librarians. Contact via Instagram @clubsolidaire.lfia or clubsolidairelfia@gmail.com. A quote: “Many small people in small places, doing small things can change the world.”
Community
Open house events were held in 2024, inviting the community to visit the school. The enrollment period for 2023-2024 was announced. Beyond the classrooms, the school offers a comprehensive education and personalized extracurricular activities, and provides family-friendly services to support daily life. It emphasizes comfortable, high-quality spaces and a welcoming atmosphere for students and families.
Parent teacher association
Parent teacher association
The Lycée has two parent associations: APA (Association des Parents d'Élèves) and ALI (Association Liste Indépendante). They work for the well‑being of students in all areas and participate actively in school life through various bodies, including school and establishment councils and class councils, and they assist families in preparing scholarship applications (French) and the solidarity fund (Spanish). They are involved in Madrid scholarship commissions to advocate for parents and contribute to events such as the Christmas party (Primary), Carnival, the cohabitation festival, and other activities requiring parent involvement. The boards of the parent associations are composed of volunteer parents, and all parents are welcome to participate. Election results for the 2025‑2026 school year are published. ALI was created in 2020 to represent families within a network of ALIs in Spain and around the world, providing greater influence with French and Spanish institutions; contact details include an ALI dossier page, Facebook, and email. APE is the longstanding LFIA Parents' Association; it is a non‑profit organization of parent volunteers whose mission is to promote a solidaristic school with quality teaching, improve daily life at the school, and oversee tuition.
