The American International School‑Riyadh (AIS‑R) is a co‑educational day school on a purpose‑built campus in Al Aarid, Riyadh, organised into Elementary (KG2–Grade 5), Middle (Grades 6–8) and High School (Grades 9–12). Instruction is in English; the school offers a US standards‑based, college‑preparatory curriculum (Common Core/AERO, NGSS and related standards) across lower grades and provides the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Grades 11–12. World languages taught include Arabic (with regular Arabic classes in the elementary years and Arabic language/culture through middle school), French and Spanish, with ab initio options offered in the DP.
