Admissions

Admissions

1. Registration opens in accordance with dates set by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education through its portal and official advertisements. These dates are published publicly to coordinate admissions. The school follows these MOE dates when processing applications. Parents should submit their application within the published window.

2. Age verification follows MOE policy; placement to Preschool through Grade 6 is determined by defined age bands. The policy specifies minimum and maximum ages for each grade. The school verifies the student's age for the grade to be registered. This ensures appropriate placement according to MOE guidelines.

3. Entrance exam must be passed independently by the student in the presence of the school's admission officer. If the student does not meet the cut-off marks, the school will discuss with the parents and may provide a support plan at the beginning of the academic year after the parents sign a commitment form. The agreement may include follow-up arrangements to support the student academically.

4. Priority of registration is given to the sibling(s) of existing students. This policy gives priority to siblings when considering placement. Other admissions criteria such as age placement and entrance exam results still apply. The school uses this policy to facilitate family enrollments.

5. Complete all required documents: The student's passport and a copy; copies of both parents' passports; a valid Qatar resident permit; a copy of the student's birth certificate; a copy of ID for the father/mother/sponsor; four recent passport photos; the student's health record for grade one; and a certificate of good conduct for grade one and above from the former school.

6. Tuition fee procedures: The due dates for paying the tuition fee for the academic year are at the beginning of Term 1, Term 2, and Term 3. A non-refundable 1000 QR reservation fee for the following year is due with Term 3. Books are distributed only after Term 1 tuition is paid. These are the standard payment terms for enrollment.

7. Entrance exams materials: Entrance exam materials outline grade-by-grade math and English topics that prepare students for the exam. Grade 1 covers basic addition and subtraction in math and foundational reading/writing in English (alphabets, vowel sounds, and basic reading skills). Grade 2 covers topics such as number sentences, time, problem solving, and geometry in math, and basic reading, writing, and phonics in English. Grade 3 through Grade 6 present progressively more advanced topics in math and English. These topics benchmark curriculum expectations for the entrance assessment.
