Diving Deeper

Governance and Ownership

The school is a state co-educational institution.
Fees
Application fees
- There is no application fee for admission to the school's state-funded gymnasium programmes; applications are managed through the public enrolment process for the school.

Tuition fees by school year (per term / per year group)
- Regular state gymnasium programmes (Years I–IV) do not charge tuition fees; there is no per-term or per-year tuition for the standard municipal/state curriculum.
- For students enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, there are separate IB registration and per‑subject examination charges set by the International Baccalaureate Organization; these are charged in addition to the school's regular programmes and are billed according to IB procedures (IB exam fees are assessed per candidate and per subject — example scales for May 2026 show per‑subject fees on the order of ~USD 123–124). Exact IB fees are set by the IB and billed to schools/parents.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- There is no regular school tuition billing schedule for the state gymnasium programmes because no tuition is charged.
- IB-related charges (registration and assessment fees) follow the IB invoicing and registration calendar; schools collect these fees and forward payments per the IB billing timetable (deadlines and late fees apply). Expect IB registration/invoice deadlines in the months before the May exam session and additional late fees for missed deadlines.

Boarding fees
- The school operates as a day school only; boarding facilities are not provided. There are therefore no boarding fees.

Other costs or fees (uniforms, materials, extracurriculars, lunches, trips, etc.)
- There is no published mandatory uniform fee for the state gymnasium programme on the school's statutory and public information documents. Standard outlays that families commonly meet include personal school supplies, textbooks where applicable, and incidental purchases (canteen/buffet, project materials, local excursions or extracurricular activity contributions). The school has a library and a canteen/buffet on site, and extracurricular activities and projects are part of the school's operations. These incidental costs are not presented as formal tuition charges.
- For IB candidates, additional costs can include: the IB registration/candidacy fee, per‑subject IB examination fees, and possible charges for coursework moderation, shipping or other IB administration — these items are billed separately from municipal schooling and vary by session and by school.

Refund information
- There is no tuition refund policy required for state gymnasium tuition because no tuition is charged. For IB fees, refund and retake policies are governed by the International Baccalaureate Organization and depend on IB deadlines and the IB's published rules (fees may be non‑refundable after IB processing deadlines; late registration or changes may incur additional charges). Parents should follow the IB invoicing and deadline provisions for any IB fee refund or adjustment.

Fee payment options
- No standard tuition-payment methods apply for state gymnasium tuition (no tuition collected).
- IB invoicing and payment are arranged through the IB's billing procedures; typical schools remit IB fees to the IB by the methods specified on IB invoices (schools commonly use bank transfer or the payment methods stated on IB invoices). Parents who are billed by the school for IB fees should follow the school's stated payment channels for those IB charges (school-collected IB fees are then forwarded according to IB billing instructions).

Summary statement for parents
- The Josip Broz Tito High School in Skopje is a municipal/state secondary school and does not charge application or tuition fees for its regular Years I–IV gymnasium programmes. There is no boarding and therefore no boarding fees. Additional direct charges may apply only for the IB Diploma Programme (IB registration and per‑subject exam fees set by the IB) and for incidental items such as books, supplies, canteen purchases, extracurricular trips or project materials.

Activities in this domain are planned at the school level and involve all students and staff. Health protection and health education are realized within curricula, class hours, and student activities; the program is implemented in collaboration with Bit Pazar Polyclinic, the Centre for Public Health, and the Red Cross of RM. The school takes actions to increase student safety and prevent violence. Regular consultative meetings with students, teachers and parents are held regarding related events, and students with deviant behavior are identified and monitored throughout the school year. The annual program addresses topics such as moral character, forming a positive attitude toward peers and school property, initial adaptation and integration into the new environment, democracy, coexistence, tolerance and solidarity, and media literacy.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is taught in English. Macedonian general high school curriculum is offered, and Turkish is used as a language of instruction in parallel Turkish-language tracks. The IB Diploma Programme includes English Language B (for IB) as a course, alongside other subjects such as Macedonian A Literature, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry, Geography and Visual Arts. The IB Diploma Programme requires six subjects, a Theory of Knowledge course, at least 4 hours per week of CAS (Creativity, Action and Service), and an Extended Essay. Mental Wellbeing

The health protection and health education aim to build a healthy personality (mental, physical and social) able to care for personal health and the health of family, environment and community. Health content is delivered within regular curricula, class hours and student activities, and is realized in cooperation with local health institutions (Bit Pazar Polyclinic, Centre for Public Health, Red Cross). These activities, along with regular supportive conversations, contribute to students' mental and emotional wellbeing and safe school life.

Safeguarding

The school maintains security provisions to safeguard students. There are four staff responsible for physical security working in two shifts (two from 7:00 to 15:00 and two from 12:00 to 20:00); during peak student flow, all four are present. The school has two entrances, with one entrance for teachers via electronic access cards and a second entrance for students that is locked after classes begin (with a tolerance of about five minutes). Two duty students, wearing vests, supervise the entrance during each shift and log visitors in a notebook. Each floor has a duty teacher and a duty supervisor in the teachers' office; the school coordinates with police and juvenile delinquency units when needed. The school's violence-reduction policy aims to develop non-violent ethics, ensure everyone—staff, students, and parents—knows what constitutes violent behavior, and to implement activities that prevent violence and reduce it within the school. Safety and welfare are core responsibilities of the school community, with respect as a fundamental value enabling non-violent communication and conflict resolution.
