Introduction

Cours Sainte-Anne is a distance-learning school in Paris offering the French curriculum for kindergarten through the fourth grade. Founded in 1996 by dedicated teachers, it delivers classical, richly structured content through a coherent method. The school is located at 6 rue Guillaume Tell, 75017 Paris, France, and supports families seeking distance education. Families receive all course materials and ongoing support from a teaching team, with conferences and practical workshops for parents held throughout the year. The pedagogy rests on five essential points: reading, analyzing, practicing, memorizing, and restitution. Christian values are transmitted through dictation texts, recitations, and readings, with catechism optional for families who wish. In early years, arts, culture, and language are integrated to support memory and ethical understanding. Language offerings in upper grades include English and Latin in 6th grade and German in 5th grade. The École des parents provides parenting education and Ateliers méthodologiques as parent supports.

The Essentials

Cours Sainte-Anne has instruction in French.

Location

Cours Sainte-Anne is a distance-learning school based at an administrative office in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, located near the Saint-Lazare train station. Because it is a correspondence school, students complete their studies from home, meaning there is no physical campus for students to attend or travel to.

Stages

The school provides an educational program for children from preschool (Maternelle) through junior high (up to the 4ème level). This covers students typically aged between 3 and 14 years old.

Type

Cours Sainte-Anne is a co-educational, non-campus, distance-learning school. It does not provide boarding facilities, as all coursework is completed remotely by the student at home.

Additional learning support

As a correspondence school, Cours Sainte-Anne supports students through individualized pedagogical follow-up and regular contact with teachers. Parents act as the primary daily tutors, guided by the school’s structured materials and teacher feedback.

Country affiliation

The school follows the French National Curriculum and is affiliated with the French educational system.

Religious affiliation

While the school was founded on Catholic family values, it is not a religious institution and is open to families of all backgrounds.

School day structure

As a distance-learning institution, there is no set school day start or end time. Families organize their own daily schedules, allowing them to complete the required lessons and assignments at a pace that suits their individual circumstances.

Bus service

The school does not offer a bus or coach service, as it operates entirely through distance learning.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Academic & Intellectual

Distance learning provides all course materials to families, with the teaching team supporting the parent throughout the year. Foundational education in the kindergarten and primary years forms the basis for future studies and general culture. The pedagogy rests on five essential points: reading, analyzing, practicing, memorizing, and restitution (restitution of learned material). The transmission of Christian values is part of the approach, with dictation texts, recitations, and readings; catechism remains optional and may be offered as a separate subject for families who wish.

Arts & Creative

Arts and civic and moral instruction fit naturally into early-learning lessons and contribute to memorization. This integration supports the development of memory, culture, and ethical understanding. Creative engagement and literary activity are encouraged as part of the awakening process and overall education.

Cultural & Language

The school transmits Christian culture through dictation texts, recitations, and readings; catechism remains optional and may be taught as a separate subject for families who wish. In the collège, language offerings include English and Latin in 6th grade and German in 5th grade. Latin and English are taught in 6th grade, with German offered in 5th grade.

Social & Hobbies

The École des parents offers parenting education through conferences and practical workshops. Ateliers méthodologiques provide structured, hands-on sessions to support learning. These sessions are part of the school's approach to actively supporting families throughout the year.

Language Provision
