Bernadotteskolen's English‑speaking department, The Little House (TLH), is an international section of a Danish private school at Hellerupvej 11 in Hellerup (Copenhagen) that accepts children aged about 6–15 (pre‑school to 9th grade, with an integrated 10th grade option). The department teaches in English within a bespoke curriculum that uses the Danish curriculum as its framework and incorporates international materials; Danish as a second language is taught in all groups and older pupils may choose French or German. TLH is based in its own building but shares school grounds and many practical/creative workshops with the Danish section; facilities described include a computer room, a TLH library with PCs and Internet access, and a range of ‘P' workshops (art, wood and metal, choir, music, pottery, IT and textiles). The programme emphasises project‑based, cross‑curricular learning, social skills, democratic involvement of parents and students, annual drama projects and biennial camp school, and prepares pupils for Danish state exams where applicable.
