Introduction

Located in Praha 7, Duhovka Gymnasium is a private Czech-English school offering an eight-year Montessori-inspired program for students aged 11–19. Instruction runs in Czech and English, with native English-speaking teachers who integrate language learning across the curriculum. The eight-year program culminates in Czech maturita, with the option to earn the International Baccalaureate Diploma in the final years; a four-year distance-learning track ends with maturita. Learning emphasizes cross-age collaboration and practically oriented projects that connect subjects. Lessons follow a three-phase structure: introduction to theory, practical application, and defense or presentation of conclusions. The school uses mixed-age groups and Montessori pedagogy to support student choice, initiative, and independent problem solving. A prepared study environment and pastoral care accompany academic work. Extracurriculars include subjects taught in English, creative activities, and volunteer projects, with clubs focusing on Languages, Academic Enrichment, and Community Service. The program prioritizes student well-being and personal growth within a context.

Fees

Annual tuition at Duhovka Gymnasium ranges from CZK 65,000 to CZK 287,000 for 2026/27.

Application fees

- No separate non‑refundable application or registration fee is published for admission to the gymnázium. Submission of the application, completion of the admission procedure and signing the contract precede the obligation to pay the tuition.

Tuition fees (day programme, prima–oktáva) — 2026/2027

- Standard rate: 25,200 Kč per month. School year length is defined as 10 months.
- Calculated annual amount (base): 25,200 Kč × 10 months = 252,000 Kč per school year (calculation based on the published monthly rate and stated school‑year length).
- Higher‑grade supplement: for vyšší gymnázium (kvinta–oktáva) an additional 20,000 Kč per school year is charged.
- IB programme supplement: septima–oktáva students enrolled in the Full IB programme are charged an additional 15,000 Kč per school year. This amount is stated as an additional annual supplement.
- Example totals (arithmetic summaries):
- A student in a lower year (prima–kvarta) — base: 252,000 Kč / year (25,200 Kč / month × 10 months).
- A student in kvinta–sexta (higher gymnázium) — base 252,000 Kč + 20,000 Kč = 272,000 Kč / year.
- A student in septima–oktáva enrolled in the Full IB pathway — base 252,000 Kč + 20,000 Kč + 15,000 Kč = 287,000 Kč / year.
- Per‑semester amounts are not published; if you divide the calculated annual amounts by two, the implied semester values would be half the annual totals (this is a simple arithmetic division, not a published billing method).

Tuition fees (four‑year distance programme) — 2026/2027

- Fixed annual tuition: 65,000 Kč per school year.
- The distance programme fee explicitly includes the stated scope of services (teaching, examinations, one individual consultation and one retake per semester for each subject).

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Day programme: fees are published as a monthly amount with the school year defined as 10 months; no separate published semester billing schedule is given.
- Distance programme: tuition is payable by bank transfer either in two instalments due before the start of each semester (due dates shown as 31 August and 31 January) or spread into up to 10 monthly instalments. These payment options are published for the distance programme.
- The school makes enrolment final by contract signature and payment of the agreed tuition as part of the admission process.

Boarding / accommodation fees

- No boarding or residential provision is listed for Gymnázium Duhovka. The school operates a denní (day) programme and a distanční (distance) programme only; no boarding fees are published.

Other costs or fees

- The published price list identifies the base tuition and the stated annual supplements for higher grades and the Full IB programme; no mandatory school uniform fee or separate compulsory uniform program is published.
- The distance programme description lists included services (see above); no other mandatory ancillary fees (for example a listed registration, uniform, or boarding charge) are published on the price pages. Additional optional or occasional costs (school trips, voluntary extracurricular activities, exam administration fees for external certificates, materials for specific projects) are not itemised in the published price list.

Refunds and cancellation

- No explicit, published refund or tuition‑cancellation policy appears in the publicly available fee information. Contractual terms signed at enrolment govern the legal relationship and any cancellation/refund arrangements; those contractual provisions are not published as part of the price list.

Payment methods and administrative details

- The distance programme fee is explicitly described as payable "převodem" (by bank transfer) with options for two instalments or monthly instalments; bank‑transfer payment and instalment options are therefore published. No published mention of payment by credit/debit card or other electronic payment methods appears on the published fee pages.

Scholarships / fee assistance

- A social scholarship programme is published; scholarships may apply to tuition and related payments. Details and eligibility are handled by the school office.

Administrative contact for payments and finance matters

- Finance and admissions administration contacts are published for the school office; parents are required to complete the admission paperwork and follow the contract and invoicing instructions from the school's administration.
