Introduction

Colégio Alemán de Valparaíso is a nonprofit private school in Valparaíso, Chile, founded in 1857 with strong ties to Germany. COLEGIATURA (ARANCEL ANUAL) — VALORES Y FRACCIONAMIENTO

- Colegiatura anual 2026 (aplica de Spielgruppe a IV Medio): UF 142,77 por alumno; la UF se calculará al valor del día de pago.
- Fraccionamiento mensual permitido: hasta 10 cuotas iguales y sucesivas. Para 2026 el detalle es 10 cuotas de 14,28 UF cada una, con vencimientos el día 5 de cada mes (primer vencimiento 5 de marzo de 2026; último vencimiento 5 de diciembre de 2026). Cada cuota se reajusta al valor de la UF del día de pago.
- Descuentos aplicables a la colegiatura:
- Descuento por número de hijos (mismo sostenedor): 3er hijo 10%; 4° hijo en adelante 20%. 1° y 2° hijo: 0%.
- Descuento por pago anticipado del total de la colegiatura anual: Pago hasta 30 diciembre 2025 → 5% de descuento; Pago en enero 2026 → 3% de descuento; Desde 1 febrero 2026 → sin descuento.

PLAN DE FACTURACIÓN Y PLAZOS

- Ciclo de pagos mensual (si se opta por fraccionar): 10 cuotas mensuales con vencimiento el día 5 de cada mes entre marzo y diciembre del año lectivo; las cuotas se calculan en UF y se cobran al valor de la UF del día de pago.
- Penalizaciones por mora y atrasos:
- Interés por pago fuera de plazo: equivalente al 60% de la tasa máxima convencional aplicable en 2026, calculado entre la fecha de vencimiento y la fecha efectiva de pago.
- Si existen atrasos en 3 o más cuotas, además del interés precedente se cobrará una multa anticipada y convencional equivalente al 1% mensual sobre el total de la deuda reajustada conforme IPC entre vencimiento y pago efectivo.

FORMAS Y CANALES DE PAGO

- Pagos de matrícula, colegiatura y otros a través de la plataforma Alexia con Webpay durante el proceso de matrícula. Para pago anticipado de la colegiatura anual también disponible Webpay vía Alexia; no se acepta efectivo ni cheques para pago anticipado.
- Modalidades de pago mensual y cargo automático:
- Plataforma Alexia (usuario y clave del apoderado económico).
- PAC (cargo a cuenta corriente) mediante mandato en el banco.
- PAT (cargo a tarjeta de crédito) mediante mandato en el banco.
- Transferencia bancaria (según indicaciones de tesorería).
- Condición administrativa: el sistema de matrícula bloqueará el proceso si existen obligaciones financieras pendientes (se exige estar al día con otros conceptos — biblioteca, actividades, etc.).

OTROS COSTOS Y CARGOS RECURRENTES

- Cuota del Centro General de Padres (por familia): $35.000 (CLP) para 2026.
- Seguros y prestaciones financiadas por la Corporación (no cobradas a las familias como parte de la colegiatura): seguro de escolaridad (cubre fallecimiento del apoderado económico), seguro de accidentes personales para alumnos, libros y materiales importados desde Alemania, y viaje de estudios de los primeros medios (excepto alimentación).
- Seguro de escolaridad voluntario para cónyuge (opcional): UF 1,35 anual (vigencia 01.03.2026 a 28.02.2027) — cobertura según condiciones del seguro.

Admissions
1. General background. The admission process is objective and transparent, ensuring the dignity of applicants and their families in accordance with constitutional guarantees. It also guarantees equity and equal opportunity and the principle of non-discrimination.

2. General admission criteria. Any family wanting to join the Colegio must inform themselves about the Institutional Educational Project, the Internal Rules of Coexistence, and other annexes, which are published as PDFs on the school's website and available in printed form at the school. For the vacancies available each year, the Admissions Commission evaluates compliance with the requirements, and preselects only those applicants who meet the criteria published by the school. The Admissions Commission is composed of a representative of the Board, the Rectorate, and Cycle Directors.

3. Postulation process. 3.1 Information about the Admissions Convocation: At the time of the convocation, the Corporation informs through its website about the number of vacancies offered at each level, priority quotas per level (NEEP), application deadline, required background and documents, dates of observation and evaluations, date and place of publication of results, fees and conditions for enrollment in the admissions process, the Institutional Educational Project, and syllabi. Priority quotas will be informed if these are not occupied by regular students, according to Dictamen N° 0073 and Law N° 21.544. 3.2 Application deadline: Spielgruppe and Kindergarten 1 require documents to be submitted from April 1 to 20; Kindergarten 2 to IV Ensino Medio require documents from August 1 to September 30. 3.3 Age of applicants: Spielgruppe (Mid-Level) must be 3 years old by March 31, 2027; Kindergarten 1 must be 4 by March 31, 2027; Kindergarten 2 must be 5 by March 31, 2027; 1st Elementary must be 6 by March 31, 2027. 3.4 Certificates: Present birth certificate of the applicant; Certificates of Basic and Secondary Studies; Present Annual Study Certificate from the Ministry of Education (or its equivalent for foreign applicants); Present a certificate of current enrollment at the school the applicant attends. 3.5 Applicants with knowledge of German: Applicants from 1st Elementary to IV Secondary with knowledge of German must take admission tests according to the syllabi published on the school's admissions page; approval in the admission evaluations is 80%.
