Boarding fees (additional charge per term; options shown are Flexi / Weekly / Full where available)
- Lower School (Years 7–8): Flexi GBP 1,950 / Weekly GBP 3,000 / Full GBP 3,900 per term.
- Middle School (Years 9–11): Flexi GBP 4,200 / Weekly GBP 4,700 / Full GBP 6,500 per term.
- Lower Sixth: (Flexi N/A) / Weekly GBP 6,700 / Full GBP 7,200 per term.
- Upper Sixth: (Flexi N/A) / Weekly N/A / Full GBP 7,200 per term. (Weekly boarding for Upper Sixth will be available from the 2027/28 academic year.)
(When calculating total termly cost for a boarder, add the relevant boarding supplement above to the pupil's termly day fee. For example, a Year 9 full boarder: GBP 10,762 (day fee) + GBP 6,500 (full boarding supplement for Middle School) = GBP 17,262 per term.)
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Each term's fees are invoiced separately and fall due for payment on the first day of that term. Fees must be paid in full by direct bank transfer on or before that date unless a written alternative is agreed.
- Bank transfer (GBP) is the standard method; international transfers must be made in GBP and any bank charges are the payer's responsibility. The school cannot accept payment in currencies other than GBP and cannot accept cheques. Lloyds Bank details are published for payments.
- Direct debit option: termly fees may be paid by Direct Debit either in full or by instalments of up to three payments per term on a 40% / 30% / 30% schedule (UK bank accounts only). Parents receive a payment schedule with their invoice.
- Late payment: the College may levy interest on overdue amounts at a rate of 3% per annum above the base rate, accruing daily from the due date; unpaid fees may lead to exclusion and withdrawal after 28 days.
Notice periods & fees in lieu
- Parents must give a full term's written notice to withdraw a pupil or pay a term's fees in lieu. For pupils in Fifth (Year 11) a notice period of one and a half terms applies. Acceptance withdrawals before a child starts require a term's notice or payment of fees in lieu. Acceptance deposits are normally credited against the final term's account as set out by the school.
Other costs and supplemental charges
- English as an Additional Language (EAL): standard additional charge GBP 783 per term (includes specified IAP support); individual and shared EAL tuition options are charged (individual example GBP 649 per term for 10x45-minute lessons; shared GBP 394 per term for 10x45-minute lessons).
- Instrumental music tuition: GBP 383 per term for 10x30-minute individual lessons; instrument hire charged at variable rates. LAMDA tuition rates: individual GBP 383 / shared GBP 268 / group GBP 198 (per 10 lessons). Specialist sports, clubs and certain activities (sailing, golf, equestrian etc.) carry additional termly charges. External examination fees (GCSE, IB, A-level) and some published personal textbooks are charged as incurred.
- Medical/private healthcare scheme (AXA PPP): premium indicated in the fees document (example: GBP 158 per pupil per term for the 2025 policy reference). Physiotherapy and other private services are charged at prevailing rates.
- Transport: college bus fares are charged per journey or by contract; bus contracts normally renew termly and no refunds are available for non-use (sickness, holidays, fixtures, trips etc.). Workplace childcare vouchers / tax-free childcare vouchers may be accepted for certain items (boarding fees, sports clubs, music lessons, holiday trips and private tuition).
- Uniform, clothing and equipment: clothing and equipment (including uniform) are treated as supplemental charges where applicable and are payable in addition to published tuition fees. House charges, photographs and other personal items are charged as incurred.
Insurance and fee-refund arrangements
- Personal accident insurance (including dental) is provided for all students at no additional cost. The College operates a Pupil Absence Insurance Scheme (PAIS) that, for a modest premium (a small percentage of published fees), enables refunds in specific prolonged absence circumstances; details and premiums are set out in the fees documentation. If the College is wholly unable to perform its contractual obligations for a continuous period of more than fourteen consecutive days for events recoverable under the school's insurance, term fees for the affected period will be prorated.
Refunds and deposits
- The registration fee (GBP 180) is non-refundable. The acceptance deposit is generally non-refundable if a pupil does not take up a place, except in limited circumstances described in the terms; deposits are credited as set out in the acceptance terms and refunded after the pupil leaves (net of outstanding charges). Refunds for term fees are handled under the College's insurance/PAIS arrangements and under the limited refund circumstances set out in the refund section of the fees document. Notice rules (term's notice or fees in lieu) govern refunds on withdrawal.
Practical payment details provided by the College
- Standard payment method: bank transfer in GBP to the College account (Lloyds Bank). Swift/BIC and IBAN details are published for international transfers; parents are asked to quote the pupil's name and account code. Direct Debit arrangements are available for UK accounts. The College advises caution regarding cyber fraud and will not change bank details via email without written confirmation via the Parent Portal. Cheques are not accepted.
Supplemental notes on charges that may appear on invoices
- Typical supplemental items that may be invoiced in addition to term fees include: private music and LAMDA lessons, trips and visits (including overseas trips), specialist sports or activity fees, examination entry charges, personal textbooks retained by a pupil, instrument hire, certain medical or therapy charges, house or laundry charges, damage to school property, bank charges for unpaid fees, and any charges agreed in advance for optional services. Parents will be advised of such costs before they are incurred.
