Application fees and admissions
- There is no general application fee for students applying from Sweden, from Nordic countries, or for applicants whose home municipality pays for their place; applicants in these categories pay no tuition or application charge.
- International applicants (students with foreign compulsory‑school education) are accepted into IBDP1/IBDP2 without a separate application charge, but expenses for IB examinations are invoiced to the student and added to the final invoice.
Tuition fees by programme / year group (per academic year and term)
- National Swedish programmes (all standard gymnasieprogram): No tuition is charged to students; the education is provided without tuition fees for eligible students.
- IB (International Baccalaureate) students with Swedish or Nordic schooling: No tuition fee is charged. Examination costs for IB are handled via the school's invoices when applicable.
- IB students with a foreign (non‑Nordic) compulsory‑school background: No routine tuition is charged for admission, but IB examination expenses and related IB costs for those students are charged and included on the final invoice. The school registers and invoices these IB examination expenses.
Specific exam / assessment fees
- Prövning (course re‑assessment/prövning): SEK 500 per prövning for gymnasie‑students; the fee is not refunded in case of cancellation or no‑show.
- IB candidate / retake fees: When a candidate is registered for retake exams or for IB assessment services the candidate is responsible for the IBO subject and core fees; Mora Gymnasium invoices these charges. Examples of IBO fees listed for 2026 retake registrations (charged per relevant component) include: Subject fee EUR 92; Extended Essay EUR 70; TOK EUR 36; CAS EUR 8. These IBO charges are payable by the candidate and will be invoiced by the school for retake/registration services.
- If a candidate requests an IBO remark/enquiry upon results, the IBO charges per‑subject fees for that service; the candidate/legal guardian pays those fees. Mora Gymnasium will forward the request but does not add an extra fee for sending it.
Boarding and student accommodation fees
- Mora Gymnasium Campus (school‑administered student housing): Rent varies and is typically in the range SEK 3,400–3,900 per month; rent is billed and paid 11 months per year. Rent includes heating and electricity; students are responsible for other costs such as home insurance and broadband. The campus accommodation is offered primarily to students on nationally or regionally recruited programmes (RIG/NIU), IB students and other qualifying placements.
- Sport Campus student housing (for many idrottsprogram/NIU students): Typical rent ranges shown for Sport Campus are approximately SEK 2,800–3,500 per student per month. These student flats are rented via the municipal housing landlord and are shared (2–3 students per apartment).
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Student housing rent (Mora Gymnasium Campus): Rent is paid 11 months per year. Specific invoicing timing is administered through the landlord (Morastrand) and the housing coordinator.
- IB examination charges and other school‑administered charges: IB examination expenses and other program‑specific charges are invoiced by the school; examination expenses for international IB entrants are added to the final invoice for the programme.
- Payment terms for housing billed by the landlord (Morastrand): standard invoicing is used and payment terms are 30 days net for invoices sent to the tenant or to invoicing parties. Morastrand accepts electronic invoicing channels (PEPPOL/EDI) and provides an email channel for PDF invoices under specified conditions; invoices must include required references and details.
- Municipal invoicing rules (for invoices to Mora municipality or invoices issued by municipal units) use e‑invoicing/PEPPOL channels; payment practices and invoice requirements follow the municipality's e‑invoice rules (payment due typically 30 days).
Other costs and recurrent charges
- Utilities included in campus rent: Heating and electricity are included in the campus rent; students remain responsible for home insurance and broadband subscriptions.
- Personal study materials and equipment: Candidates (especially retake or IB candidates) must provide their own required materials when indicated (for example calculators, textbooks or course materials for retake sessions); such costs are the responsibility of the student.
- Housing ancillary costs: parking spaces, personal storage and similar local charges (where applicable) are arranged via the housing landlord and may incur separate fees under the rental agreement.
Refund information
- Prövning fee (SEK 500): non‑refundable in the event of cancellation or absence from the scheduled prövning.
- Housing termination and refunds: tenancy terms (including notice periods and move‑out procedures) follow the landlord's rental contract. For Morastrand student rentals the standard notice procedure and final inspection regime apply (three calendar months' notice from the month after the notice is received); any refund of deposit or adjustments is governed by the rental contract and inspection results.
- IB / IBO examination and service charges: the IBO charges for examinations, retakes, remarks and related services are billed to the candidate and handled via the school's invoicing; specific refund or cancellation rules for IBO charges follow IBO policy and the invoicing procedures used by the school/municipality. Mora Gymnasium invoices IBO charges to the candidate as required.
Fee payment options and practical payment routes
- Invoicing and electronic payment: The primary payment route for housing and municipal/school invoices is via invoice/e‑invoice and bank transfer channels (municipal and landlord invoicing systems use PEPPOL/e‑faktura or standard invoice handling). Payment terms are typically 30 days net for landlord and municipal invoices.
- IB/IBO fees and school invoices: IB examination and IBO service fees are invoiced by the school to the student; the school issues an invoice which is payable through the municipality's invoicing/payment channels (electronic invoicing / bank transfer as per municipal practice).
- Credit card payments: no school‑level or housing credit‑card payment method is specified on the published housing or municipal invoicing pages; invoices are handled through e‑invoice/PEPPOL, EDI or standard invoice channels and paid by bank transfer or the municipality/landlord's accepted invoicing methods.
