Any optional or program-specific charges (see “Other costs or fees” below) are invoiced by Linköping municipality. Municipal invoices are issued with ordinary invoice terms; standard municipal payment channels and collection procedures apply, including a reminder fee for overdue invoices. Individual municipal invoices show the due date and OCR/bankgiro information.
Boarding fees (if applicable)
- Katedralskolan does not provide student boarding or arranged accommodation; there are no boarding fees charged by the school because boarding is not offered. Students who cannot reasonably commute may apply to their home municipality for inackorderingstillägg (housing allowance) according to municipal rules.
Other costs or fees
- School meals: provision and any fee policy for school meals is set by the municipality. Meal menus and catering arrangements are provided by municipal meal services; meal fees (if any) are determined by the municipality.
- Study materials, books, tools and protective clothing: items that the student keeps (for example certain books, tools or protective work clothes required for vocational tasks) may need to be acquired by the student or their guardians and may be charged at most at the school's acquisition cost. This type of limited charge for personal learning aids is permitted under national regulations.
- Optional activities and trips: voluntary field trips, optional study tours, course-related excursions or other elective activities may incur additional charges for travel, accommodation or external services; such charges are treated as separate items and are invoiced or collected as arranged for each activity.
- Incidental or replacement charges: the municipality may issue invoices for replaceable items or incidental costs (for example replacement of lost items where applicable); these are charged as individual items per municipal billing routines.
Refund information (if applicable to the school)
- Tuition and application refunds: not applicable because no tuition or application fees are charged.
- Refunds for optional paid items or cancellations: refunds or credits for optional paid activities, trips or purchased materials are handled according to municipal invoicing and cancellation rules and are resolved case by case by the municipality or the unit that collected the fee. Municipal billing terms set the procedures for invoicing, reminders and collection.
Fee payment options
- When the municipality issues an invoice the commonly available payment methods include bankgiro/bank transfer and e-invoice; autogiro (direct debit) can be arranged for recurring municipal invoices. For in-person payments of certain services (for example when collecting documents) card and Swish can be accepted where the municipal service point offers that option. Payment and late-payment procedures follow Linköping municipal billing rules.
Insurance
- All pupils are covered by the municipality's pupil insurance while at school and during school activities; this insurance is in place for gymnasieelever.
