About international schools in Belgrade, Serbia
Belgrade’s international schools form a compact market dominated by English-medium programmes (International Baccalaureate and British/Cambridge pathways are common) alongside a small number of German-language and Serbian-national bilingual tracks. Families can expect English to be the day-to-day teaching language with Serbian taught as a subject or offered as a parallel national programme, and schools commonly provide English as an Additional Language and mother-tongue support. Tuition is generally lower than in many Western European capitals - early years places often start in the mid-thousands of euros a year, primary and lower-secondary places sit in a mid range, and Diploma/A-level years can reach into the tens of thousands - and fees are usually supplemented by registration/capital charges, transport, lunches and external exam costs. Admissions are a mixture of rolling intake and fixed-window testing depending on the school; many accept mid-year starters but will require assessments, proof of prior schooling and health/vaccination records.
