Application fees
- Admissions (one-time) fee: EUR 1,495 for learners enrolling on the British International Curriculum, the American Core Curriculum, or on BGA's Own Curriculum. EUR 995 for learners enrolling on the Portuguese+ curriculum.
Tuition fees by curriculum and school year (Grades 7–12 / Years 8–13)
- BGA charges a fixed monthly tuition by curriculum for all secondary year groups; the standard model is a monthly instalment plan (12 payments). The published monthly amounts and their annual equivalents are:
- British International Curriculum: EUR 595 per month — annual total EUR 7,140 (595 × 12).
- American Core Curriculum: EUR 845 per month — annual total EUR 10,140 (845 × 12). AP courses incur an additional surcharge of EUR 750 per AP course.
- Portuguese+ Curriculum: EUR 505 per month plus an additional component shown as approximately EUR 97 (published as “€505 + ~€97”); base annual total at EUR 505 × 12 = EUR 6,060, with the additional element applied as indicated for the Portuguese pathway.
- Own Curriculum (Hub attendance / family's chosen curriculum): EUR 500 per month — annual total EUR 6,000 (500 × 12).
- Fee structure does not vary by the number of subjects chosen; published pricing is set per curriculum rather than per subject load or individual year group. A fixed monthly fee model applies across the secondary grades.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Regular tuition billing: 12 monthly instalments (one instalment per month across 12 months) is the standard billing schedule. An option to pay 12 months' tuition upfront is available; paying the full 12 months in advance qualifies for a 3% discount on the total yearly tuition.
- One-time admissions fee is payable prior to completion of enrolment. A Registration Renewal Fee of EUR 500 is payable after the learner completes the first 12 months and on each 12‑month anniversary thereafter.
- Contracts, invoices and payment instructions are issued as part of the final enrolment process; invoicing and payment milestones are set out in the enrolment paperwork and invoice documentation provided on completion of the onboarding process.
Boarding fees
- BGA operates as a hybrid model with local co-learning Hubs rather than a residential/boarding school model. No boarding programme or boarding fees are published for the Hub model. Learners attend Hubs for in-person coaching, social learning and hub activities.
Other costs and additional fees
- AP course surcharge (American curriculum): EUR 750 per AP course where selected.
- External examination and assessment fees: BGA charges separate exam-entry and assessment fees for international qualifications. Example published exam fees (January 2026 schedule) include:
- Pearson Edexcel IAL: EUR 100 per unit/paper for BGA learners (external private candidate rates differ).
- International AS/A2 Level entries: EUR 200 (BGA learners).
- International A-Level (all papers): EUR 300 (BGA learners).
- Remote invigilation service (per unit + qualification entry fee): EUR 800 (BGA learners) — remote invigilation covers platform access, practice materials and secure invigilation services.
Additional costs may apply for special accommodation or when a candidate takes external subjects not offered by BGA. Exam entry deadlines and late-entry penalty rules apply; late and very-late entry surcharges are published per exam cycle.
- What's included in the standard tuition: access to the chosen curriculum, Hub access and learning-coach support, learning platform and software. These inclusions mean typical course materials and platform access are part of the standard fee; specific external costs (exams, remote invigilation, certain external subject arrangements, and optional AP surcharges) are charged separately.
Refund information (where published and applicable)
- Exam and assessment entries: exam-entry payments are subject to published entry deadlines and late-entry penalties; once published payment deadlines for an exam cycle have passed, no refund is issued for that exam entry. Late-entry multipliers (double/triple fees) apply after stated cut-off dates.
Fee payment options
- Enrolment completes with formal contracts and invoices that include the payment instructions for the chosen programme. Payment is arranged by invoice as part of the enrolment process; invoices and the accompanying payment instructions detail how to settle one-time and ongoing charges. (Payment channels and the exact payment method are provided in the enrolment documentation and invoices issued on completion of the onboarding process.)
Discounts and concessions
- Sibling discounts: second child receives 5% off the total monthly tuition; third child receives 7.5% off the total monthly tuition.
- Upfront payment discount: paying 12 months in advance receives a 3% discount on the total yearly fee.
