The French International School of Yangon Joseph Kessel (LFIR) is a non‑profit French international school in Yangon, listed at 6, Ou Yin Street (Windermere Gardens), Kamaryut Township, Myanmar. As a member of the AEFE network the school follows the French national curriculum accredited by the French Ministry of Education, offering preschool (from age 2) through primary (to CM2) with secondary studies continued via the CNED up to 4ème (approximately age 14). The two languages of instruction are French and English; LFIR runs an intensive French support programme for non‑French speakers and teaches Myanmar weekly from the first year of preschool. From secondary, students may study additional languages such as Spanish or German and are prepared for language certifications (DELF, Cambridge). Campus facilities described on the school site include a spacious playground, play area, garden and allotment and a covered sports court; the school also collaborates with the French Institute of Myanmar for language support and holds an EFE3D Level 2 sustainability certification.
