- Possible additional small costs: consumable school supplies not provided by the school (pens, rulers, notebooks, etc.), material fees for the media/library center and any costs related to CNED registration or external language tests. These are the responsibility of parents.
Discounts and scholarships
- Locally recruited school staff: substantial reductions (example: staff benefit from a 75% discount for the first two siblings on initial registration and tuition fees, with 50% for subsequent siblings) and specific conditions apply. Employees of certain French institutions may receive a 33% discount on tuition fees.
- Sibling discounts: 10% on the third child (registration and tuition only); 20% from the fourth child (registration and tuition only). These sibling discounts are subject to the terms in the financial regulations.
- French families may apply for AEFE school grants per AEFE rules; a merit-based scholarship for non-French students (grades 6–12) is also administered by the Parents' Association. Scholarship recipients remain responsible for any portion of fees not covered by the grant.
Refund and cancellation information
- The initial registration fee is non-refundable except in exceptional cases reviewed by the Parents' Association.
- For students who leave during a semester: any period started is due in full. Parents must notify the principal in writing and initiate deregistration on the Eduka platform at least 15 days before the deadline.
- Long-term absence (more than one month for medical reasons) may be eligible for a partial refund after review by the Parents' Association.
- In the event of force majeure and temporary school closure ordered by local authorities, tuition remains fully payable if distance education is provided; optional activity and transport fees are refundable pro rata depending on services actually provided.
- School trip cancellations: if a withdrawing student's family finds a replacement, the withdrawing family is charged 50% of cancellation fees; if no replacement is found, 100% is charged except for duly justified withdrawals reviewed by the Parents' Association and the Administrative & Financial Director.
Payment methods and related rules
- Accepted payment methods: credit card, bank transfer, or check to the school account. Credit-card processing fees are charged to families. Registration fees may be paid in EUR by bank transfer; the exchange rate applied is the embassy rate at time of payment.
- Payment choices (annual, 40/30/30, or monthly) are selected on the Eduka registration platform and apply to tuition, insurance, transport and AES invoices according to the chosen schedule. Priority of collection is given to outstanding tuition fees; enrolment in AES may be blocked if tuition is outstanding.
Notes on documentation and proof of payment
- A school certificate or transfer of school documents will be issued only when all amounts due have been cleared; proof of payment will reflect the amounts paid on the date of issuance. Final deregistration documents (exeat) are delivered only after the treasurer confirms that all fees have been paid.
