Billing schedule and payment terms

- Withdrawals after the academic year begins (new or existing students): tuition is payable up to the end of the month attended; term fees refunded only if less than three months of the term are over (if half the term is over, term fee will not be refunded); admission fee not refunded. Refunds are processed within three months after submission of withdrawal form and refund application with valid bank details and ID proof. All unpaid fees must be cleared before Transfer Certificate / Leaving Certificate is issued.

Curriculum

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Udgam School provides an inclusive, supportive environment that prioritizes social and emotional development. A School Counsellor helps students with academic, social, behavioural and emotional needs and collaborates with teachers, parents and special educators to create a healthy learning atmosphere. There are counsellors for each school section (primary, middle, and secondary) to support students across the grades. School psychologists focus on wellness, social skills, problem solving, anger management, self-regulation and optimism, and they work with families to address barriers to learning. Counselling services and parent workshops are routinely arranged to assist with special learning or behavioural needs.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Udgam School follows an Inclusion/Special Education Needs framework aligned with IB philosophy. There is no single approach to learning; special education teachers use visual, auditory and tactile materials and the Learning Process leverages Multiple Intelligences to support different learners. Identification of learning support needs occurs during admission, with documents reviewed by an admission panel; the School Counsellor and CRS teachers assess and document recommendations for the Admissions Panel. Indicators for special education include learning difficulties, emotional or behavioural challenges, specific learning difficulties, sensory or physical needs, communication problems and medical conditions. Eligibility is determined through a comprehensive evaluation, and individualized plans (IEPs) are developed with appropriate interventions and accommodations, including extended time, technology aids and separate examination arrangements where needed. Arrangements in examinations can include separate rooms, seating adjustments, assistants, aids, hearing instructions and magnifying devices, with some accommodations requiring prior IB authorization. The school aims to integrate students with learning needs into the mainstream classroom wherever possible.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English is the medium of instruction at Udgam School. The school creates a multilingual environment and supports use of English alongside students' mother tongues to foster intercultural understanding. Internal and external communications, governance, projects and day‑to‑day activities are conducted in English to promote language proficiency. The language policy emphasizes English language development through speaking, listening, reading and writing, with English described as the primary language of instruction and a focus on multilingual literacy. The school recognizes that most students speak English and Gujarati, and supports mother tongue development (Gujarati and other languages) with school assemblies, language festivals and classroom activities. Students are encouraged to devote at least 50 hours to core language development using various modalities, and teachers are viewed as language teachers who upskill to support language learning. Mental Wellbeing

Udgam School provides mental wellbeing support through its counselling framework. Admissions are open from grade 1 to 9 for the academic year 2026-27. Admissions are open for Grade 11 for the academic year 2026-27. The school admits students belonging to all strata of society and from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Admissions are open to all and the school reserves the right to grant admission to any child. For registration, please keep scanned copies of the following documents ready: address proof, birth certificate, result of previous year (If Applicable), parent's educational qualification documents, sibling proof (in case real brother/sister is studying in same school), and Aadhar card copies for both parents and child.

Scholarships

The Udgam School Scholarship Program is for meritorious students of Udgam School whose household income is below a certain limit. The school considers applications based on the following criteria: academic results of the child for the past year; behaviour and discipline of the child during the past year; annual income of both the parents; attendance record of the child; punctuality and other habits of the child. Parents are requested to fill the form and submit to the school front office along with the attachments mentioned in the form. Only students studying in Classes 1 onwards are eligible for this program. The fees paid in the last academic year is refunded, so students of class 1 will be eligible only when the child comes in class 2. The students whose scholarship is granted will be remitted the amount of fees paid in the previous academic year. Only tuition fees will be remitted and based on the merits and needs of the child. It is variable from 25% to 100%. Please note that this scholarship program is administered by a scholarship committee formed by representative of the school and the board of trustees. The decision of this scholarship committee is final and no representations for the review of the decision will be entertained. No parent should contact any committee member directly. Any falsification of data will be treated with grave concern. The committee members may call for further information over and above mentioned in the form for facilitating the decision making process. Parents can attach any other documents they wish to further strengthen their contention of eligibility either for merit or for affordability. The students who have been awarded scholarship last year need to fill the form to be eligible for the program this year too.
