About international schools in Cyprus
Cyprus’s IB international schools form a small but well-established group on the island, with several schools authorised to teach the Diploma and earlier IB programmes so families can follow PYP, MYP and DP (and in a few cases the CP) pathways. These schools generally teach in English while offering Greek (and often other European languages) as additional language programmes to support integration and local exams. Annual fees for international schools in Cyprus typically sit in the mid-single thousands of euros, with many schools charging around €7,000 - €11,000 a year though higher and lower schools exist and extra charges (bus, meals, exam surcharges) are common. Admissions follow the island’s September school year cycle, with applications and assessments commonly required well before the start term; IB schools are concentrated in the larger centres (Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos) so most relocating families arrange visits or early remote interviews and expect to pay deposits or join waiting lists for popular year groups.
