King's Group was founded in 1969 by Sir Roger Fry. King's College Latvia opened in 2017 as part of the King's College Schools Group, initially welcoming pupils from Nursery to Year 5. The school joined the Inspired Education Group in 2019. Cambridge International IGCSE accreditation was awarded in 2021 and the school became an IB World School in 2022. In 2024, King's College Latvia became an all-through school, educating children from Pre-Nursery to Sixth Form.

The process is: make an enquiry or complete the application form; visit the campus (online interviews available if an in-person visit is not possible); admission test and interview (Key Stage 2 and above take a Cognitive Ability Test, CAT4, followed by an interview); receive a formal offer if there is space; upon acceptance, pay the enrolment fee to secure the place.
