Discounts and special cases - A 20% discount on school fees is applied to the second and third children in the same family for private (unsponsored) families. The deposit is required before the pupil's arrival. - Tuition and administrative fees must be paid before the start of the courses or the relevant term; otherwise late charges and interest at 1% per month are applied. If tuition for a full year is paid in advance, a 1% discount is applied. Monthly payment plans are available; if spread over 10 months an administrative charge of CHF 10 per month is applied. Meals, material fees and camp charges are invoiced simultaneously with the school fees; regular and incidental activities are invoiced termly and must be paid at the end of each term. All invoicing and payment instructions require payments in Swiss francs. Accepted payment methods and billing details - Payments are required in Swiss francs. Bank transfer (the school provides Banque Cantonale Vaudoise account details and IBAN on the registration documents) is the specified payment method; parents are responsible for any bank charges. The registration form allows specification of the payer (parents, a third party or an expatriate employer). No credit‑card payment method is specified in the registration documents. Boarding / Accommodation - The school operates as a day school with a full‑day programme (hours indicated for the school day) and after‑school activities; no boarding fees or boarding provision is listed. Refunds and resignation rules - Deposit: the CHF 1,000 deposit is normally held as a guarantee and will be retained by the school in the event of cancellation or withdrawal after the deadlines described in the registration contract. The deposit may be retained to cover outstanding fees or damages; unclaimed deposits remaining a year after departure may be used for the school scholarship fund. - Resignation / departure deadlines and charges (contractual): resignations and departures must be announced by the specified dates to avoid additional charges. Exam registration fees and external examination fees are not refundable. Notes on invoicing practice - Administrative and material fees are due for the full year even if a pupil attends only part of the year; fixed fees are not prorated in short‑term admissions. Activity fees are invoiced termly and must be paid at the end of each term. The school reserves the right to modify tariffs annually. | Fee details Registration / Application fee - Administrative (registration) fee: CHF 490, billed once and non‑refundable. Food options
Food options The EBSR kitchen has the Fourchette Verte label, which guarantees well-balanced meals. A French chef cooks all menus on site. Pupils are served on a plate, with salads as starters and a dessert – fruit, dairy products or a small portion of cake. They also receive a snack in the morning and afternoon, which is cut fruit or a small pastry. We adapt to many specific situations and allergies. Children are not allowed to bring their own food to school, either for meals or snacks, to avoid feelings of unfairness and food competition. The only exception is a medical certificate. | Food options Meals are provided through the local catering service, offering balanced daily meals for students and staff, with a daily salad buffet and bread; in winter, soup is offered two days a week and a fruit basket is always available after meals. A vegetarian option, pork-free option, and gluten-free option are available on request at enrollment. For allergy-related dietary needs, a medical certificate is required and a meeting with parents is arranged to discuss how best to meet the needs. |

Curriculum details
Curriculum details English-French bilingual immersion from the early years. The youngest learners follow a 50-50 language split, with two years of interactive English immersion for francophone children and a transition year. From Year 3 onward, elements of the French curriculum are gradually introduced and the programme becomes fully bilingual with native speakers in both languages. In primary, there is a teacher per subject and language teachers are native speakers; the English component aligns with British programmes while maths uses the Singapore Programme for arithmetic and geometry follows a French programme. The programme continues through Collège, with students able to continue toward Gymnase entrance if they choose. | Curriculum details Ecole Riviera is in Montreux and was founded in 2002. It offers bilingual French-English teaching with the benefits of an international education for ages 3 months to 16 years. Progress is tracked rigorously and each pupil receives tailored support. Pre-School is a French-English bilingual program with development across language, numeracy, environment, art and physical development. Infant School uses a 50/50 bilingual program with immersion to support language acquisition. Primary School teaches in French and English, adds German from Year 5, and provides a modern computer room and study trips; Secondary School is bilingual, with the 11th year preparing for the baccalaureate and Cambridge English and Goethe German Examinations. |

Facilities overview
Facilities overview The school is located in the heart of Lausanne and has a large tree-filled and flowering courtyard with a vegetable patch and a playground, a lovely terrace, and a large sports field at the back that can be used all year round. The classrooms occupy the first two floors of a charming, listed Art Deco building, built for Lemania School in 1913. The rooms are bright and sunny, cool in summer and well-equipped without unnecessary luxury. We have chosen solidity and simplicity: most work is done at the desk, but computers and tablets are available for specific tasks, such as individualized work or internet research in science. Interactive whiteboards are used in all classes and on an ad hoc basis, typically in science. | Facilities overview From age 3, pupils begin the bilingual program. The school provides a secure environment tailored to pupils' needs. Pupils have access to the library, classroom computers, an art and crafts room, a music and theatre room, a school canteen, and a well-equipped playground. All classrooms are equipped with an interactive whiteboard, and older pupils use mobile computing devices. |
Sports facilities
Sports facilities We have a sports field that was fully renovated a few years ago and can now be used all year round, thanks to its artificial turf surface. Shaded by cedar trees, the field has sheds that house our sports equipment. Mont-Repos Swimming Pool is 15 minutes away by foot, and swimming is included in the regular sports classes and also offered as an after-school activity. Lausanne's nearby facilities for athletics and team sports, such as Stade Pierre-de-Coubertin and Stade de Vidy, are used for certain activities. | Sports facilities Sports activities take place in external sports halls. The swimming lessons take place at the local swimming pool in Montreux. When the weather is suitable, sports lessons take place on outdoor sports fields. Pupils take the school bus for sports lessons outside of the grounds. |

Science Laboratory: We share a state-of-the-art, fully equipped science laboratory with the IB section of Lemania School, used by our secondary students for physics and chemistry experiments. Craft workshop: A real woodworking workshop has been set up on the ground floor for STEM classes, where students learn to use a hammer, a saw, a drill and other tools while tackling technological challenges. | Academic facilities The school library is available to pupils.
