Application and Admission Fees
- Application fee: RMB 3,000 (non-refundable; payable when the application is submitted).
- Seat guarantee deposit: RMB 20,000 (non-refundable; applicable to the first semester or annual fee; secures a seat until the stated tuition payment deadline).
- Capital fee (one-time at admission for new students): RMB 30,000 (non-refundable).
Tuition fees by year group (amounts shown per year and per semester)
- Early Years and Pre‑Kindergarten:
- Annual payment: RMB 222,500.
- Semester 1: RMB 113,750.
- Semester 2: RMB 113,750.
- Kindergarten – Grade 5:
- Annual payment: RMB 257,500.
- Semester 1: RMB 131,250.
- Semester 2: RMB 131,250.
- Grades 6 – 12:
- Annual payment: RMB 275,000.
- Semester 1: RMB 140,000.
- Semester 2: RMB 140,000.
Included and additional compulsory program items
- The published school fees include daily lunch, compulsory program trip fees, and one startup set of the school uniform for new enrolments. Parents of Upper School (Grades 6–12) students must provide a recent Apple laptop for daily dedicated use.
Bus transportation fees (per annum / per semester by zone)
- Zone 1: Annual RMB 18,500; Semester RMB 9,750.
- Zone 2: Annual RMB 21,500; Semester RMB 11,250.
Other compulsory or commonly applicable fees
- ESOL (English support) fee: RMB 17,500 (one-time, non-refundable; compulsory for students Grades 1–10 who require additional English support or whose best language is not English).
- External exam costs (SAT, PSAT, ACT, IB registration, etc.) are the responsibility of parents.
- Sibling discount: 5% reduction on the total annual tuition for families enrolling three or more siblings.
- Uniforms and startup uniform set (one set included as noted above); additional uniform purchases are extra and billed separately.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Payment options available: annual payment (due date specified in the school billing schedule) or semester payments (Semester 1 and Semester 2). For the published schedule, Annual and Semester 1 payments are due by June 1; Semester 2 payments are due by December 1. Bank charges for wire transfers are the responsibility of the payer. If paying by USD check, add US$50 to cover bank clearance charges and apply the USD exchange rate at the time of payment. All fees must be settled before the student begins class.
Refund information and key withdrawal deadlines
- Notification must be made in writing for refunds to be processed. Refund rules include:
- Written withdrawal by March 14: full tuition refund for the following school year (subject to school verification procedures).
- Written withdrawal on or before July 18 (before first semester starts): refund of semester or annual payment after deducting RMB 20,000 seat guarantee deposit.
- Written withdrawal after July 18 (before first semester starts): refund after deducting RMB 30,000.
- Written withdrawal by December 1 and not attending any days in semester two: refund of the annual payment minus the semester fee as listed.
- Written withdrawal after December 1 but before the start of semester two and not attending any days in semester two: refund of the annual payment minus the semester fee and an additional RMB 20,000.
- Once a semester is underway, no refund for that semester is possible.
- No refunds for students dismissed for disciplinary, academic, or health reasons, for undisclosed learning needs the school cannot address, for mandated shifts to online learning, or for force majeure events.
- Refunds are processed after the student's last day of attendance and return of school materials; refunds are returned to the payer within 30 working days.
Methods of payment and payment instructions
- Accepted methods: bank transfer (recommended), check in RMB or US dollars (exchange rate applied at time of payment), and RMB cash. The school does not accept foreign-currency cash payments (e.g., US dollar cash). Wire transfer fees and bank charges are the responsibility of the payer.

- When paying by wire transfer, email a copy of the bank receipt to payment@hisdragons.org.cn with the child(ren) name(s) and grade(s) in the subject line to ensure proper crediting of the payment. The school accepts payments only into the specified accounts; do not follow different bank instructions if received from other sources.
Other notes on charges and responsibilities
- Any bank or intermediary charges on international transfers are the payer's responsibility and may require adding to the transfer amount so the school receives the full invoiced total.
- School fees are not transferable between students or families. Refunds are contingent on verification that school property and materials have been returned.
