Application & Registration Fees
- Non-refundable application fee: CAD 300, payable with the application.
- New student registration fee: CAD 5,000, payable in addition to tuition and due with your first payment in May.
Tuition (2026/27) — by student type (annual amounts in CAD)
- Grade 8 (Day): CAD 35,700.
- Day student (general day category): CAD 40,700.
- BC Boarding: CAD 74,400 (includes room and board).
- Canadian Boarding: CAD 75,900 (includes room and board).
- U.S. Boarding: CAD 93,000 (includes room and board). Fees for U.S. boarders are due in full by the stated due date.
- International Boarding: CAD 105,000 (includes room and board). Fees for international boarders are due in full by the stated due date.
Per-term / instalment detail and monthly plan (2026/27 billing schedule)
- In-Full payment option: full tuition payable by May 15, 2026; families who pay in full by that date receive a 1% credit on net tuition applied in July.
- Three-instalment schedule (amounts and due dates):
- Grade 8 (CAD 35,700): CAD 17,850 due May 15, 2026; CAD 8,925 due Aug 31, 2026; CAD 8,925 due Nov 30, 2026.
- Day student (CAD 40,700): CAD 20,350 due May 15, 2026; CAD 10,175 due Aug 31, 2026; CAD 10,175 due Nov 30, 2026.
- BC Boarding (CAD 74,400): CAD 37,200 due May 15, 2026; CAD 18,600 due Aug 31, 2026; CAD 18,600 due Nov 30, 2026.
- Canadian Boarding (CAD 75,900): CAD 37,950 due May 15, 2026; CAD 18,975 due Aug 31, 2026; CAD 18,975 due Nov 30, 2026.
- Nine-month (monthly) payment plan (May 2026 – Jan 2027):
- Grade 8: CAD 3,967 per month. Families selecting this option must set up pre-authorized debit by May 1.
- Day student: CAD 4,522 per month. Pre-authorized debit required by May 1.
- BC Boarding: CAD 8,267 per month. Pre-authorized debit required by May 1.
- Canadian Boarding: CAD 8,433 per month. Pre-authorized debit required by May 1.
- U.S. and International Boarding: tuition amounts (CAD 93,000 and CAD 105,000) are stated as due in full by May 15, 2026; instalment or monthly schedules are not listed for these categories.
Enrolment deposits and refundable/non-refundable treatment
- Enrolment deposit (applied to student fees in July):
- New Day students: CAD 7,500 (upon acceptance; non-refundable). Returning Day students: CAD 2,500 (due Jan 23, 2026; non-refundable).
- New BC/Canadian boarders: CAD 11,000 (upon acceptance; non-refundable). Returning boarders: CAD 6,000 (due Jan 23, 2026; non-refundable).
- New U.S./International boarders: CAD 25,000 (upon acceptance; CAD 11,000 of this portion is non-refundable). Returning U.S./International boarders: CAD 6,000 (due Jan 23, 2026; non-refundable).
- Grade 12 student deposit: CAD 1,500 charged at the beginning of the school year; it is credited back to the account at year-end and refunded via the June statement.
Incidentals deposit
- Additional incidentals deposit: CAD 2,500 due by May 15, 2026, to cover incidental costs beyond tuition (uniform purchases and other individual student charges). A credit balance at year end will be carried forward or refunded.
Other expected costs and typical miscellaneous expenses
- School uniform: approximately CAD 1,500.
- Clothing alterations and dry-cleaning: CAD 5–70 per item. House or program apparel: up to CAD 150. Team sports gear: up to CAD 150. Golf membership: approximately CAD 300. Hockey program: approximately CAD 325. Lifesaving: approximately CAD 350. First Aid/CPR: approximately CAD 100.
- SCUBA program: CAD 1,100–1,700. Private music lessons: approximately CAD 90 per 1-hour session. Extra tutoring: CAD 70 per 1-hour session. Camera rental: CAD 165. SAT/PSAT/AP exam fees: up to CAD 200. Textbooks and novels: approximately CAD 10–100; no refunds for textbooks not returned by end of year.
- Health centre / insurance and medical costs: health insurance approximately CAD 1,000; medical appointment charges at cost plus a CAD 15–30 administration fee; transport to/from appointments CAD 35–50; immunizations CAD 25–510; athletic therapy CAD 25; prescriptions and supplies at cost.
Refunds and withdrawal policy
- Withdrawal by family during the school year: 50% of the remainder of the academic year's tuition will be refunded; the refund calculation date is the date the School receives official written notice of withdrawal. The School may consider additional refunds if accompanied by a physician's note.
- Dismissal by the School: the School may, at its discretion, refund 50% of the remainder of the academic year's tuition.
- Withdrawal due to travel restriction or study permit refusal for non-Canadian students: if the family notifies the School prior to August 1 of that academic year, the full tuition and registration fee for that year will be refunded in full.
Fee payment options and international payment methods
- Cheque or bank draft payable in Canadian funds to ‘Brentwood College School'. Payments received in U.S. funds are converted at the bank's deposit date exchange rate.
- Credit card payments: accepted via Plastiq or by submitting a Credit Card Authorization Form to accounts@brentwood.ca; the application fee can be paid directly through the application portal.
- Canadian online banking and pre-authorized debit (PAD) arrangements: bill-pay setup and PAD forms are accepted for Canadian bank account holders; PAD forms require submission with a void cheque by the stated deadlines.
- International payments: Flywire is available for international bank transfers or credit card payments in the payer's home currency.
Discounts and financial assistance
- Sibling discount: 5% discount on each student's net tuition fees for students from the same family enrolled in the same year.
- Financial assistance: a needs-based financial assistance program is available and administered through the school's financial aid process (participation in an external FACS program is part of the process).
