Lunch, trips and other recurring charges

Other costs and required items

- Uniform and kit: two full sets of school uniform and two sports kits are required; parents must supply sports shoes, comfortable black everyday shoes, a navy blue swimsuit, a field-trip polo shirt, a school hoody and an art apron. Students should also supply a school bag, water bottle, stationery (per stationery list), and a student planner.

- Stationery and learning devices: families must provide stationery per the school stationery list. Each student receives a Kindle Fire; damage or loss of a Kindle is chargeable (listed value USD 90). Damaged library books are charged (example published replacement charge UGX 50,000 per book).

- Extracurricular / clubs: any club or transport fees are billed in addition to tuition and are due with term fees (see billing schedule below). Participation in lunch, clubs or school shuttle is conditional on cleared payment of the corresponding fees.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Currency and due dates:
- Fees are payable in US dollars. All school fees are due one week before the start of each term.

- Instalment options and surcharges:
- Annual payment (single payment) is accepted and is the encouraged method.
- Termly payments are accepted; termly instalments on discounted fees attract a 5% surcharge.
- Monthly payments are accepted; monthly instalments on discounted fees attract a 10% surcharge. The school encourages 10 monthly instalments (August–May). Surcharges apply to discounted fees only.

- Late or partial payments and mid-term enrolment:
- Fees for new students joining mid-term are payable by the student's first day of school. Spaces cannot be reserved without financial commitment. If part payment is made it will be allocated to fees first, then lunch, then transport & clubs.

- Withdrawal and termination:
- Written notice of withdrawal must be provided at least one term prior to the intended leaving date. Failure to provide one term's written notice results in a charge equal to one term's fees. The school reserves the right to terminate attendance in specific circumstances.

History
Named for the seven hills on which Kampala is built, 7Hills International School was founded by a group of like-minded parents in Uganda who sought a secondary school with quality teaching and care. It provides an affordable international secondary education that develops the whole child—intellectually, emotionally and physically—and offers a safe and stimulating environment for learning. The founders chose the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) for Years 7–9 to support knowledge, critical thinking and values during the middle years. 7Hills combines the advantages of a small school with a broad curriculum spanning traditional academics, sport, the creative and performing arts and computer science. The pioneer Year 7 class began in August 2017, and the school planned to offer Years 7–13 by 2023.

Community
Parental involvement is highly valued through the PCC, a small network of class representatives that coordinates parent participation in school events and activities. The PCC aims to create opportunities for the 7Hills family—students, parents, teachers, families and the community—to socialize and share information and expertise to continually improve the student experience and learning. Admissions
1. Complete the application through the online Admissions Portal. The Admissions Portal guides applicants through the process with clear steps and required information. Begin the process by initiating the online application, then prepare to upload supporting documents as you progress. If questions arise at any stage, contact the school office for assistance. 2. Upload all required documents and proof of payment of the application fee of 100 USD. Prepare digital copies of the documents before starting the upload. Required documents include the student vaccination card; media and release consent; school reports from the last two completed school years and the most recent term report for the current school year; passport copies of parent(s) and student; and passport size photos of the student. The Admissions Portal validates uploads and provides confirmation when complete. 3. Book an appointment for the student's shadow day, learning assessment, and conversation with the Head of School. The shadow day and assessment help understand the student's learning profile and needs in a natural setting. The Head of School will discuss the student's strengths, goals, and possible support strategies. An initial impression formed during this meeting informs the next steps in the process. 4. Pay the registration fee of 350 USD to secure a place for the student. The payment confirms the student's intention to enroll and holds a place for the upcoming school year. The process may include further steps depending on age, program, and space. Keep a record of the payment for verification. 5. Official notification of acceptance is issued after the admissions process is complete. The notification confirms the admission decision and any remaining requirements. It is necessary to review and respond to this notification within the timeframes specified. 6. Sign the fee agreement and complete the first tuition payment. The one-time development fund of 1500 USD is also paid at this stage. This step formalizes enrollment and confirms financial arrangements for the school year. 7. The student is officially registered and enrolled for the agreed school year. Enrollment confirms placement in the program and access to the school's offerings.

Scholarships
A-Level academic scholarships at 7Hills International School are available for students entering the A-Level program starting in August 2025. The school is a not-for-profit NGO and scholarships support academically strong and motivated students. Scholarships available include 2 full scholarships and 2 half scholarships, awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence, strong character, and a commitment to contributing positively to the school community. Note that subjects offered depend on student interest; if a subject has too few applicants, it may not be offered.
