Uniform Requirement
Uniform Guidelines: Polo shirts with the Halio logo are available in three solid colors for 250 Baht each; navy polo shirts may be worn for uniform cohesion. Bottoms are solid-colored shorts, skirts, trousers, or leggings; feet are slip-on shoes or sandals, and shoes are not worn inside the building. Kindergarten tops are navy blue T-shirts; younger students should not wear makeup or jewelry, except for stud earrings, religious necklaces worn inside the shirt, and simple watches if necessary.

Food Options
Food service includes a meal plan with a mid-morning fresh-fruit snack, an afternoon snack, an after-school carbohydrate snack, and a hot lunch every day. The menu rotates every three weeks and offers Thai dishes, Western food, or a vegetarian option; meals are cooked on campus. History
In 2002, Hua Hin was a fishing village becoming a tourist town, lacking the infrastructure to keep international residents. Padma Fischer-White realized she would have to homeschool her son for the family to stay in Hua Hin, and, inspired by Summerhill, Waldorf and Montessori, began meeting the needs of eight children with like-minded families. It operated without a license or accreditation, and many families attracted to this option had children who struggled in traditional schools; Padma wrestled to find methods to coax them into the classroom, and learning often happened without the children realizing it. It was by navigating around the needs of these children that Halio's approach was born, prioritizing self-directed free play, strong relationships with teachers and peers, and a warm, loving environment. Since those beginnings, Halio has grown to accommodate ages three to twelve and is the only English-language progressive school licensed in Thailand as a Learning Center that can provide the certification required to stay in accord with Thai law.

Include the child(ren)'s names, ages, birthdates, and nationalities; mother's and father's names and nationalities; spoken and written English ability; spoken and written Thai ability; any other languages; information about the current school; any behavioral / mental / learning challenges; how long you have lived in Thailand and Hua Hin; why your family chose Hua Hin and Halio. 2. Arrange Family Tour. Schedule a school visit to tour the facilities, meet the teachers, and experience the environment. Children are welcome during the visit, and it's preferable if they attend. The tour helps both sides assess fit with Halio's community. 3. Student's Trial Visit. If you wish to proceed with an application for placement, a day or two will be scheduled for your child to have a trial experience to get to know Halio, complete an academic assessment, and determine mutual suitability. Bring the completed application forms to the trial day so that parent contact information is available, and a follow-up interview will be scheduled after the trial. This trial helps Halio assess fit with the non-traditional environment and ensures the child will thrive. Enrollment is limited to a few new students each year, with highest priority given to native English speakers bilingual with Thai, family members of existing students, and students who will stay long-term.
