Fees
Application fees
- There is no application fee to register or to be placed in the IES Täby queue. Applications are made via the IES queue system (SchoolSoft) using BankID or by submitting the printable application form; no charge is taken for applying or for queue placement.

Tuition fees by year group (academic year 2026/27)
- Year groups: 4–9 (IES Täby is a Years 4–9 school).
- Tuition: SEK 0 per term and SEK 0 per year for all compulsory year groups (Years 4–9). Education in the compulsory school forms in Sweden is provided free of charge; no tuition is billed for these year groups.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Because there is no tuition charge for Years 4–9, there is no tuition billing schedule or term invoicing for compulsory schooling at IES Täby.
- Any optional or voluntary costs (see "Other costs") are billed separately by the activity organiser or by third-party vendors and are payable according to those organisers' or vendors' stated terms. Applications and queue placement are not billed.

Boarding fees (if applicable)
- IES Täby is a day school for Years 4–9 and does not operate boarding provision; there are no boarding fees.

Other costs and fees
- School lunch: School lunches are provided free of charge.
- School clothes / branded garments: The school runs periodic school-clothes orders via a webshop; purchases and any customisation (for example, individual name printing) are paid by guardians (example: name printing noted at SEK 50). These purchases are optional and are invoiced/collected by the external supplier.
- Voluntary school activities and trips: Occasional voluntary activities (for example certain school trips, museum visits or similar) may require voluntary contributions from guardians; such contributions must be voluntary, open to all students, and limited to the organiser's actual cost (they must not constitute repeated compulsory charges). Guardians may therefore incur modest, one-off costs for some trips or excursions.
- After‑school services (fritids/open activities): Where after‑school or open fritids services are provided and charged, fees are subject to the municipal rules (maxtaxa) or must be reasonable as required by Swedish regulations. Guardians may therefore face fees for certain childcare or open‑activity services in line with statutory limits.

Refund information
- There are no tuition or application payments to refund for compulsory Years 4–9.
- For optional paid items (for example school‑clothes purchases) or voluntary activity contributions, refund and cancellation terms are determined by the vendor or the activity organiser; voluntary school activities are charged only for actual cost and are intended to be voluntary. For statutory rules on permitted charges and voluntary contributions in compulsory schooling, see the national regulations.

Fee payment options
- There are no tuition payments to make for Years 4–9; the admissions/queue process uses BankID for account and application management.
- Optional purchases (school clothes, extras) and voluntary activity payments are handled and collected by the supplier or activity organiser; payment methods and timing follow the supplier's/organiser's stated checkout or invoicing options. Example: school‑clothes orders are placed via the external webshop and follow that vendor's payment process.

Admissions

Admissions

1. Register your child in the queue. The school requires an account on the website and a BankID login to enter personal data. If a Swedish BankID is not available, download the application form from the page bottom and email it to admissions. If the child does not have a Swedish personal identity number, contact admissions directly for assistance. 2. Verify your email. The next step is to confirm the email address. Check your spam folder if the confirmation email is not received. Once the email is confirmed, you can proceed with the application. 3. Provide information. The child's personal identity number (YYYYMMDD-NNNN) must be provided, and siblings can be added to the application for potential priority. Guardians' contact details must be registered (if a place is offered, all guardians must accept before the child can start). Guardian 2 will receive a verification email. Select the school, start of the academic year, and year level. In Sweden, children typically start förskoleklass in the year they turn six. 4. Queue placement confirmation. All registered guardians will receive a confirmation email once a queue place has been created for the child. 5. Manage your application. Guardians can log in to update information, such as the desired start year or adding siblings. 6. Admission Offer. If a placement is offered, log in to the queue system with BankID and actively confirm the offer. The school will then send all the information needed before the start of the school year. If BankID is not available, the application form can be submitted by email or post to the school. The information above is provided by the IES Täby admissions materials.

Waitlist

Queue places are offered in order of queue date. The earlier the child is registered in the queue, the greater the chance of receiving a place. The earliest registration date is 1 February in the year after the child is born. Sibling priority may apply if the sibling is already enrolled at or attending an IES school when the other child starts. If a placement is offered, guardians must accept before the start date.
