Fees
Application fees
- There are no application fees to join Internationella Engelska Skolan Lund; no charge is taken for applying or for being placed in the queue.

Tuition fees by school year (per term / per academic year)
- Years 4–9 (compulsory school): SEK 0 per term / SEK 0 per academic year. There is no tuition charged for attending the school for any compulsory year group.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- There is no regular tuition billing for compulsory education because no tuition is charged. For any permitted charges (see “Other costs or fees” below), invoicing and payment terms are set by the school or, where applicable, by the responsible municipality; those permitted charges are billed according to the school's published administration and invoicing arrangements.

Boarding fees
- Not applicable. Internationella Engelska Skolan Lund is a day school for years 4–9 and does not operate a boarding facility.

Other costs or fees (uniforms, meals, materials, activities, fritids)
- School tuition, textbooks, essential learning materials and nutritious school meals for compulsory-year students are provided without charge; these items are part of the free education obligation. Small, one-off voluntary costs (for example an entrance fee for a museum visit or a single transport fare connected to a school trip) may occur but must be occasional and not regular recurring charges. Any activities that require a parental payment must be voluntary and not exceed the school's actual cost. Where an after‑school (fritids) programme is provided and a fee is charged, that fee must be reasonable and is regulated (maxtaxa applies); the overall rules on permitted and non‑permitted fees apply. There is no standard school uniform fee imposed as a compulsory tuition charge.

Refund information
- Tuition refunds are not applicable because no tuition is charged for compulsory education. Refunds or credit arrangements for any permitted, charged services (for example paid fritids places or voluntary trip fees) follow the school's administrative terms for those specific services. Any such charged service must comply with the legal requirement that fees are reasonable or not unreasonably high.

Fee payment options (credit card / bank transfer / other)
- Because there is no tuition to pay for compulsory years, there is no standard tuition payment method. For any permitted fees (for example charged fritids places or optional paid activities), the school's administration determines accepted payment methods and billing mechanics; parents are informed of those methods when a fee is levied.

Admissions

1. Register your child in the queue. To place your child in the queue, you create an account on the school's website by logging in with BankID, where you enter your personal data. If you are missing a Swedish BankID, download the application form at the bottom of the page and email it to admissions. If you do not have a Swedish personal identification number, contact the school directly and staff will help you further. You must also select the school and input the intended start year and year level. 2. Verify your email. In the next step, you confirm your email address. Check your spam folder if you have not received it. Once your email is confirmed, you can proceed with the application. 3. Provide the following information. Your child's personal identity number (YYYYMMDD-NNNN). Add any siblings to the application, as sibling priority may apply. Register the contact details of all guardians (this information is important – if a place is offered, all guardians must accept before the child can start at the school). Guardian 2 will also receive a verification email. Select school, start of the academic year, and year level. Keep in mind that children in Sweden usually start the pre-school class (förskoleklass) the year they turn 6. 4. Queue placement confirmation. All registered guardians will receive a confirmation email once a queue place has been created for your child. Please get in touch with the school if you have not received a confirmation email after completing your registration. 5. Manage your application. You can, at any time, log in via the school's website and manage your information, such as your desired start year or adding siblings. 6. Admission Offer. If your child receives a placement offer, you log in to the queue login via BankID. After that, you make an active choice to confirm the offer. We will then send all the information you need before the start of school. 7. Don't have a Swedish BankID? Fill in the application form below and send it to the school you are applying to, either by email or by post.

Waitlist

Queue and sibling priority: Places are offered in order of queue date. The earlier you register your child in the queue, the greater the chance of being offered a place. The earliest you can register your child in the queue is 1 February in the year after they are born. Sibling priority may apply, provided the sibling is already enrolled at or still attending an IES school when the other child starts. Open houses and information evenings take place in early autumn. Intake starts in autumn, with first offers made to those families whose children have been in the queue the longest, or who already have a sibling in the school. Families are given a short time to decide whether to accept the place. A workshop day is held in spring for students who have accepted, and the term starts after the summer break.
