Franklins gymnasium is a municipal upper secondary school in Mölndal, located in renovated premises within Kulturhuset Möllan. It opened in autumn 2019 in collaboration with AstraZeneca to offer Life Science–oriented programs. The school provides three programs: Naturvetenskapsprogrammet (Natural Science), Teknikprogrammet (Technology), and International Baccalaureate, all with a Life Science profile. The IB Diploma Programme is taught in English and is available to students entering one of over 150 countries. Life Science brings together biology, mathematics, chemistry, technology and medicine to explore how life works and how diseases develop. Both Natural Science and Technology are university-preparatory, preparing students for higher education and future technology careers. The school emphasizes engagement with industry and researchers, including regular knowledge exchanges with AstraZeneca. A Local Sports Education option offers hockey alongside studies, and the school supports open houses and shadowing days to help prospective families learn about Franklins gymnasium.
