Application, enrolment and deposits
- Non-refundable enrolment (matriculation) fee: EUR 1,750 per pupil, payable on acceptance of a place. No reimbursement is made in the event of cancellation of a place at any time.
- For boarders, to confirm a boarding place a refundable boarding deposit of EUR 3,000 is also payable in addition to the EUR 1,750 enrolment fee; the boarding deposit is refunded once the pupil's education at the school has ended (subject to the school's conditions).
- An annual re‑enrolment fee is included in the third term bill and is deducted from the first term's fees of the next academic year. Parents intending to leave in June must provide written confirmation before 28 February; notice given after 1 April will not result in a refund. Three months' notice is required if a child is to leave the school or to change status from boarder to day pupil; in lieu of notice three months' fees are payable.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Fees are billed termly; there are three terms per academic year. For day pupils, receipts are presented to the family bank account in the first ten days of September, January and April. For boarding accounts, receipts are presented before 10 July, 10 December and 10 March.
- All fees, charges (including lunches, residence, buses, optional classes and school visits) must be paid by direct debit or by bank transfer as indicated on the termly bill. The next term's fees will not be refunded in cases of absence, illness or cancellation.

- School lunches (compulsory for all pupils): EUR 647 per term for day pupils. DP2 (final IB year) students receive a 10% discount on annual lunch during the last term where applicable.

- Pre Pre‑Nursery and Pre‑Nursery (monthly): EUR 635 per month for care from 09:00–17:00. Lunch (breakfast, lunch and snack) for Pre‑units: EUR 98 per month. Baby unit (monthly, 09:00–17:00): EUR 635 per month.
- Induction English (where applicable) — additional charge per term: Infants EUR 1,450; Juniors EUR 1,638; Seniors EUR 2,199.
- Extra supervision hours for EYFS & Primary (optional, per month): 08:00–09:00 EUR 60; 08:30–09:00 or 17:00–17:30 EUR 30.
- External examination fees (IGCSE, GCE A Levels, IB, Cambridge, etc.) are charged in addition and included in the termly bill where applicable. School uniform, Chromebook and some extracurricular activities are not included in the standard fee and must be paid separately.
- Boarders must take out fully comprehensive Spanish private medical insurance (approx. EUR 700 per year this year; dental cover is an additional supplement typically shown at approx. EUR 13 per month).
- Family discounts on tuition, charges, lunch and bus services apply for multiple children enrolled across Madrid King's schools: 3rd child 10%; 4th child 15%; 5th and subsequent children 20%.
Refunds and cancellations
- The non‑refundable enrolment fee (EUR 1,750) is not refunded if a place is cancelled at any time. For boarding, the EUR 3,000 deposit is refundable at the end of the pupil's education at the school (subject to contractual conditions). The next term's fees will not be refunded for absence, illness or cancellation. Three months' notice is required to leave the school; in lieu of notice three months' fees are payable. If written notice of departure for June is given after 1 April no refund will be made.
