Eurocampus Deutsche Schule Palma de Mallorca is a private German international school serving ages 3 to 18. The school is a private institution operated by the non-profit German-Spanish School Association (Deutsch-Spanischer Schulverein), founded in 2002. The association is the sponsor (Träger) of the school and provides the legal, structural, financial, material and personnel framework for its operation. Fees

Application & Registration Fees

- New-student enrollment fee: €750 (one-time, non‑refundable) payable at registration.
- Annual recurring enrollment fee (Folge‑Einschreibung) from the second year: €750, payable by 28 February each year; this recurring fee is also non‑refundable. €600 of a timely Folge‑Einschreibung is credited against the school fees in December.
- Kindergarten (on initial registration): one‑time non‑refundable enrollment fee €650. For reserving a place for the following kindergarten year a reservation payment of €150 is required (non‑refundable).

Other mandatory and recurring charges

- School association (Verein) membership contribution: €180 per family per year; charged at first registration and thereafter at the start of each school year. This fee is retained in case of withdrawal.
- Meal charges (Schulspeisung): additional cost if the pupil participates in school lunch; meal fees are not included in the monthly tuition and are billed in ten monthly instalments for the school year. Exact monthly meal rates vary and are charged separately.
- Homework supervision, additional remedial support, extracurricular activities, class trips, school sports clothing/uniforms, books and other learning materials: charged separately and not included in the monthly tuition instalments. Homework supervision is enrolled for a full year and paid half‑yearly in advance; non‑attendance does not entitle to refunds for prepaid periods.

Deposits / Guarantee (Ausfallgarantie)

- At initial entry or re‑entry the school requires a security deposit equal to two current monthly tuition instalments. If the pupil participates in the school lunch scheme, two monthly meal payments are also required as part of the Ausfallgarantie. The deposit is adjusted annually to the current monthly rates. The deposit is not interest‑bearing. The deposit is refundable only after regular written withdrawal at the end of the school year and subject to compliance with the notice provisions and settlement of all outstanding obligations. The claim to reimbursement prescribes after four years.
- Kindergarten: two monthly kindergarten instalments (2 × €650 = €1,300) are held as the Ausfallgarantie; this guarantee is retained if the child leaves during the year or if a place reserved for September is not taken. The guarantee is returned only if the child completes the kindergarten year and the family has submitted proper written notice as required.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Regular payments (tuition, fees and other charges) are due monthly in advance by the 5th of the current month. For the kindergarten the monthly contribution is due by the 5th of each month. Tuition may alternatively be paid as an annual advance.
- All ongoing payments are to be made by bank transfer to the Deutsch‑Spanischer Schulverein (Überweisung). Failure to pay by the 6th of the month places the parents in default without a reminder; default interest is 5% per month. If payment is overdue by 14 days a reminder may be issued and a reminder fee of €39 per notice is chargeable. In case of judicial recovery of outstanding amounts, parents bear the collection costs. Non‑payment can lead to immediate exclusion from school and withholding of school reports until obligations are settled.

Refunds and cancellations

- Enrollment (Einschreibegebühren) fees (initial and recurring) are not refundable. The school association contribution is not refundable on withdrawal.
- Abmeldung (withdrawal) requires written notice with a three‑month termination period to the end of a month. For any month in which the pupil attends school for any part of that month the full monthly tuition is due. For the kindergarten, if a child leaves during the year, the kindergarten contribution is payable through the end of July if the withdrawal is given after June. Refund of the Ausfallgarantie is possible only after a regular written withdrawal and when no outstanding liabilities remain; otherwise the deposit is retained.
- Absences: for absences up to three months tuition and meal fees remain payable in full. For longer absences, reductions up to a maximum of 50% may be granted only in well‑founded individual cases by decision of the school board.

Boarding / Accommodation

Exam Results
The Eurocampus conducts German-federal exams in cooperation with the Deutsche Schule Barcelona. The examination commission of the Deutsche Schule Barcelona conducts the final examinations for Sekundarstufe I on-site in Palma since the 2008/2009 school year, and the Abitur has been taken at the Deutsche Schule Barcelona in Barcelona since 2015.

Higher Education Progression

Eurocampus Deutsche Schule in Palma de Mallorca is the only German Auslandsschule on the Balearic Islands authorized by the KMK to conduct final examinations on site in Palma de Mallorca in collaboration with the Deutsche Schule Barcelona and to take the Abitur there under the KMK decision of 10 December 2008. With the final examinations, students earn the Hauptschulabschluss (end of Grade 9), the Realschulabschluss (end of Grade 10), the qualification to progress to the gymnasiale Oberstufe (end of Grade 10), and the Abitur (end of Grade 12). It is the only German school on the Balearic Islands with an operating permit from the Conselleria de Educación and authorized to run as a regular school; it is also allowed to admit students with Spanish citizenship and to become a Begegnungsschule. Instruction follows the guidelines and curricula of recognized German Auslandsschulen on the Iberian Peninsula. The language of instruction is German; from first grade, Spanish is taught at native level, English as a foreign language, and Catalan for up to two hours per week. From fifth to seventh grade, Spanish includes Ciencias Sociales (biology, geography, history) and from seventh grade for Gymnasium students French.
