Roedean School (SA) is an independent all‑girls boarding and day school based in Parktown, Johannesburg, offering a complete education from Grade 0 to Grade 12 (serving ages 5 to 18). The school follows the South African national curriculum and its senior pupils complete the National Senior Certificate examinations administered by the Independent Examinations Board (IEB). English is taught as the Home Language; pupils study Afrikaans and isiZulu (and Sesotho in the senior phase) as First Additional Languages, with options at senior level to take second additional languages such as French, German, Italian and Spanish. The campus includes boarding provision (the Mary Williams Boarding House accommodates senior boarders), co‑curricular facilities such as an aquatic centre and a music centre, and a broad academic and activities programme. Roedean is accredited as a Thinking School (University of Exeter) for its whole school approach and runs the Roedean Academy outreach programme to support learners from under‑resourced schools.
