Michael Mount Waldorf School is an independent, non-profit, co-educational Waldorf day school at 40 Culross Road, Bryanston, Johannesburg, South Africa. It follows the Waldorf curriculum and prepares students through to the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) National Senior Certificate (Matric), serving Early Childhood, Primary and High School stages for learners aged 1 to 18. The medium of instruction is English, with Afrikaans and isiZulu offered as First Additional Languages. The school campus (on the site of the Bryanston Market) includes sports fields and regular physical education, woodwork and handwork workshops, dedicated eurythmy and arts provision, a science laboratory and access to the Basil Gibaud library; class sizes average about 22 pupils and the school reports approximately 450 pupils. Distinctive elements of the programme published by the school include daily Main Lesson blocks, a class-teacher continuity model through the primary years, practical and artistic subjects embedded across grades, Class 11 independent projects and camps, and community-service and farm-based experiential learning in the high school years.
