Introduction

El Shaddai Christian School is an independent, co‑educational Christian school in the Durbanville suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. Founded by El Shaddai Christian Church, it offers education from Grade 00 to Grade 12 (approximately ages 4–18) across two campuses: a main campus for primary and high school and a separate pre‑primary facility on the same property. The school operates Afrikaans and English streams in the lower grades (Grade 00–5) with instruction primarily in English from about Grade 6 upwards. Its curriculum is WCED‑based (CAPS) through the lower grades and transitions to Cambridge International programmes in the senior phase, with pupils taking Cambridge IGCSE and AS‑level qualifications. The school publishes provision for aftercare, cultural activities and a limited sports programme. El Shaddai also states that Christian discipleship and a Biblically integrated approach to learning are central features of its programme.
