It develops critical thinking, curiosity and autonomy to prepare students for the challenges of today and tomorrow. The values of Liberty, Equality, Solidarity, Mutual Respect, Non-discrimination, Secularism, Citizenship and Dialogue between cultures guide the school. Civic and moral education is practiced to foster dialogue, solidarity and autonomy, and human rights education including rights of the child and gender equality is integrated throughout the curriculum.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Only chronic illnesses (such as asthma, diabetes, allergies) may be the subject of an Individualized Support Plan (PAI) between the family, the treating physician and the teacher to define treatment modalities as needed.

The school teaches English and Slovene as language subjects; English is taught as a living foreign language alongside Slovene.

Safeguarding

Access to the EFL is via the school's main entrance; the Livada entrance is not to be used. For Maternelle classes, parents may accompany their child in the corridor to help with dressing. For CP to CM2 and the middle school, students are welcomed at the building entrance and go to class independently. If a student must leave during the day, it is only with the authorization of their legal guardians or a person they have written authorization for, and an early departure form must be signed at the time of departure. A cantine service is offered during the lunch break with supervision. Repeated or unjustified lateness disrupts school operations. The school provides school insurance covering civil liability and personal protection, and physical education is compulsory. The school upholds secularism, and education on human rights, including the rights of the child and gender equality, is part of the program.
