The British International School of Ljubljana is an international school on a single campus in Ljubljana's Črnuče district that follows the English National Curriculum and serves children aged 3 to 18. English is the language of instruction for all subjects except modern foreign languages; the school's published curriculum shows Slovene, German and French taught at primary and secondary levels. BISL publishes a range of on-site facilities including spacious classrooms, a library, specialist science laboratories, an art studio, music practice rooms, a 300 sqm performance theatre, assembly hall, school canteen and a dedicated Early Years centre, together with a woodland area and a renovated playground (climbing wall, trampoline, fitness equipment, basketball and football court); sports provision also uses the nearby Ludus Sports Park. The school prepares students for IGCSE and A‑level examinations, operates a three‑tier English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme (noted as “Exemplary” in its publications) and cites external inspection and membership recognitions in support of its provision.
