Introduction

Opening in January 2027, SPGS International School (Singapore) is a new co-educational British international school shaped by more than 120 years of educational distinction at St Paul’s Girls’ School in London. The school will welcome girls and boys aged 18 months to 8 years, from Playgroup* to Year 4. From August 2027, the Junior School will expand to include Years 5 and 6, while the Senior School will welcome its first cohort. Located at 20 Harbour Drive, within easy reach of Singapore’s Central Business District, the school has been developed in close partnership with St Paul’s Girls’ School, London. Founded in 1904, St Paul’s Girls’ School has been ranked the UK’s number one school for academic excellence by The Sunday Times in 13 of the past 16 years. Alongside the English National Curriculum and a pathway through IGCSE to A-levels as the school grows, students will benefit from School Directed Courses developed within the SPGS International network. At SPGS International School (Singapore), exceptional academic outcomes are not the sole aim of education. SPGS International School Singapore teaches British Curriculum, EYFS (Early years foundation stage) for students aged 1.5 to 8.

Curriculum

Developed in close partnership with St Paul’s Girls’ School, London, our curriculum brings the depth and rigour of its academic approach: from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through an enhanced English National Curriculum and an IGCSE pathway leading to A-levels, with an approach centred on deep understanding, independent thinking and a genuine joy of learning.

Student Teacher Ratio

Teacher-student ratios are designed to support individual attention and strong relationships between students and teachers. In Early Years, ratios are 3:15 in Playgroup, Pre-Nursery and Nursery, and 2:20 in Reception. From Year 1 onwards, ratios typically range from 2:24 to 1:24, reducing to 1:16 in Years 12 and 13.

Languages

Language Provision

Mandarin is introduced from Early Years, allowing children to begin developing familiarity and confidence with the language from a young age. It continues through Junior School, with French and Spanish introduced from Year 7 as additional language options alongside Mandarin.
Admissions

Admissions

Applications are considered on a rolling basis and reviewed individually. Families are asked to submit an online application together with the required supporting documents.

As part of the admissions process, children may be invited to take part in an age-appropriate assessment, and families may meet with the Head of School. Applications are then reviewed by the Academic and Admissions teams.

Successful applicants will receive a formal offer and Student Contract, followed by the required enrolment documentation and payment.
